When using a dell laptop. The screen locks, when still using it, i am not letting the computer to idle and it just locks the screen. So it's not the power settings. What's happening? Never seen this before.

I have a very old printer, it is an HP Deskjet 970Cxi, but when i install the drivers for it i get te drivers for Deskjet970C, which is not my printer. I have been able to get the correct driver before but for same reason it's not working. OS-Windows 7

Can anyone help me?

I have tried the HP site, but it recommends to use windows update and that's what i have done and i get the wrong drivers!

Hi, i am trying to convince my mum that there is no point in switching of the plug to my laptop to save electricity. please clarify - do transformers plus led use any/much electricity if laptop is off, but left in Socket, so led is on?? will taking the plug out make a difference to the energy bills???

How much energy, or units do the LED's found on transformers which are used for laptops, hard drives and other devices?

Do they use loads of electricity? or hardly anything - eg 0.001 unit?

I have had a problem with windows 7, once i have got Blue Screen Of death's. windows can't activate. I have been on the phone to microsoft, and they say i should use the "upgrade" feature on the windows 7 installation disk.

So i have Windows 7, but need to re-install some of the core files for it to work, i have tried it three times so far and it seems to just get stuck on "checking compatibility. Is this normal, does it take ages? Or is it so bad that i should do a clean install?

I have got Windows 7, Installed and IE was working fine and Windows was not crashing or showing Blue Screen of Death. I installed IE8 for ebay, and then i removed the "provided by ebay" from the registry and since then I have had IE crash after opening a few tabs or doing something that's demanding. Also i have had Loads of Blue Screen of Deaths

I have tried using Remove Windows Features and that has not worked. I don't really want to re-install the OS.

Is there a way to re-install IE8 fully and replacing all the files?

My wireless function doesn't work anymore. The wireless capability doesn't turn on when I flick the wireless switch to 'on'. The light that usually turns on doesn't. This means I can't pick up any networks!
