I'm a long time NASCAR fan. Jr. is my boy but I am a fan of many other drivers as well. 4peat. I wanna see history made by a guy/team that deserves it. Personal stuff. I'm 50 going on 12 and grew up in the sticks just west of Cleveland, Ohio. So I guess I'm a yankee redneck. And dang proud of it! I've got a sarcastic sense of humor so you may want to re-read my answers before getting offended. I've kinda stayed away from Y/A for awhile because of trolls and bashers. But I'm over it. My time is too valuable to give any of it to them. Can't we all just get along? lol Peace y'all.

  • Anyone else getting tired of it?

After the NNS race more of the same from Kyle Busch. "I guess we come to these races to finish 2nd." No acknowledgment for his crew, his sponsors, the fans, or the winner. Do you think his attitude is hindering his success? Do you think he's a poor sport? Will he ever grow up?

  • Are you gonna miss seeing Sterling Marlin in the 500?

http://sports.yahoo.com/nascar/news?slug=txmarlind... Seems like he had become a tradition at the Daytona 500. I'm kinda shocked that he couldn't find a ride.

  • What do you think about?

I'm feeling really ambivalent about the "new" NASCAR. I rewound the incident in the Showdown a bunch of times last night and believe Logano did what he did intentionally. He picked up the throttle way early. He had to know he was gonna run up the track. Let's say for argument's sake that's true. I remember the good old days when, if a driver did that, the consequences were imposed by fellow competitors. Not the sanctioning body. I like the philosophy of natural consequences. But at the same time these guys could literally kill one another with those 3500 lb missiles. But they all know that going in. In the NFL they hand out penalties for personal fouls and I believe that's what Joey did last night. So isn't a penalty warranted? If so, why wasn't Hornaday penalized? His bonehead move didn't appear intentional to me. Just overly aggressive. Is that the line NASCAR has drawn? And, if I'm right, under NFL rules, wouldn't Hornaday have been penalized as well? But come on. This is racing. I'm all for fair play and keeping the drivers safe. But the sport is inherently dangerous. You know that going in and therefore accept the risk and the outcome. Should a driver be allowed to do anything he wants without fear of penalty by NASCAR? See my problem?

  • Hey NASCAR Nation...?

Did you see the Toyota All-Star Showdown? How about that finish? What do you think about that move by Joey Logano? Can we expect to see more of that driving style from him this year in Cup? I don't know about you but I almost got my NASCAR fix this weekend.

  • True that Toyota builds Gibbs' cars for them?

Vs other manufacturers making parts and teams assembling them? Sounds unrealistic but you never know. Just rumor? If someone can give me a factual answer to this with some links to bolster their answer it will answer this and 10 other questions I have concerning the modern manufacturing/building process.

  • In your local news?

I know this may not be a NASCAR question, but for my own reasons I wanted to post it here. Did you see the movie "Top Gun"? "Days of Thunder" in airplanes. Remember the bar/ restaurant in the movie? Maverick and Goose sang. Maveirck met "the girl". Maverick cried in his drink when he found out girl was leaving. "Hemlock is it?" It was Kansas City Barbeque here in San Diego. They filmed on location. It burnt Friday. Totally gutted. The piano appears to be salvageable but nothing else. Bummer eh?

  • Is it possible for a person whose born straight to become gay as a result of.........?

As a result of negative personal experiences? I don't mean someone who thinks they're straight and then dicovers they've always been gay. I guess I mean someone who gets hurt by someone and as a result becomes gay and is happy and comfortable with no bitterness towards the opposite sex. I am a straight 49 yr old guy who has been a student of sociology for probably 40 years. Yes, 40 years. I am genuinely curious and am not, and never do, engage in gay bashing. I f you want to bash, just go away silently please.

  • Do you think doing the triple will hurt Rowdy's chances for a win on Sunday?

He's young so I'm sure he has the stamina. But someone else will be practicing his cup car. But the little turd could probably get on a tricycle and win. I'm a Jr. fan but you gotta give props when props are due.

  • Is wearing Jr's. #8 gear a faux pas?

I love the color red and the design of Jr's #8 gear. I wear it 90% of the time. I also have some of his new stuff that I wear but to me he'll always be red # 8. Dorky?

  • Is anybody else out there confused by, and tired of, bad info about NASCAR?

Lately I've noticed a lot of misinformation about NASCAR and the France family. IE: International Speedway Corp. is owned by NASCAR. The France family is ruining NASCAR, etc... Being a devout NASCAR fanatic for over 30 yrs. compelled me to do some research. If you go to the ISC corporate web site you will find some amazing info. What did you find out that was most surprising to you?
