I'm a college student, so generally I like to do what I want to, when I want to. :) I write a good deal of poetry and have won a few awards. I'm proud of what I do. I love to laugh, be with friends and loved ones, and, well...do anything fun. Even if it gets me into trouble. I guess I'm kind of impish at heart. I'm a loving person. I sort of seem to live for love--which is trite-sounding but accurate. I'm a dog person AND a cat person. I work out really often, sometimes every day. I love to cook and I love to eat, though, so it balances out.
Any explanation for laughing in one's sleep on a regular basis?
My friend recently informed me that I have laughed in my sleep every night we've slept in the same room. My boyfriend overheard and chimed in that I do this on a weekly basis. He assumed I was either doing it intentionally or was just crazy. :)
My question: is there any psychological reasoning behind this? Sometimes my eyes are open and sometimes they're closed, if that makes any difference. Can I attribute this directly to my dreams?
Note: I'm not entirely sure that this query belongs in the 'mental health' section--I just wasn't sure where to put it and the site suggested that particular category.
2 AnswersMental Health1 decade agoShould I consider rekindling an old relationship?
My high-school sweetheart "M" and I dated for about a year and a half until the stress of our long-distance relationship (I went to college in-state; he opted to go about eight hours away) was enough to break things off. Since then (this was a little over a year ago) I've been dating another guy, "G". "G" is admittedly not the best match for me (he dabbles in drugs and often displays an inability to make good decisions--and my mom absolutely hates him), but I love him nevertheless. He's sweet and kind to me, and he's become my closest friend. To make a long story short, "M" is trying to rekindle our old relationship. He sees us spending the rest of our lives together and has even made plans as to where we will live. Plus, my friends and family all adore him and still ask about him.
He broke up with me, so I moved on. I know that when it comes down to it, "M" would be a far better match for me than "G", and I would lead a better life with him. But "G" is still so exciting to me. Any suggestions?
