BQ: Favorite Owl City track?

Ea. Russian Funeral Doom metal band. Hardly anything is known about this enigmatic band. Metal Archives mentions that Ea’s lyrics are written in a dead language which was recreated according to the results of archeological study and their concept is based on the sacral texts of ancient civilizations. Also, i would request you not to go by the modest ratings this band has got. Trust me, this is as good as funeral doom can get. It is not the kind of music for headbanging. But it is the kind of music perfect for you to sit down, relax and get depressed. :D

The band has three full-length releases till now. The songs are long. Very very long. So if you don't have the much time to answer, i would suggest you skip this, for now. But do check out this band when you have the time. Also, funeral doom can not be appreciated if you fast forward or skip parts of the song. So if you do listen, listen to the whole track.

Runemagick, Swedish death doom pioneers, and one of my favorite bands of all time. One of the most under rated bands in my opinion. Earlier albums were more death metal with slight doom influences. Later works have been more towards death doom and these albums have helped define the genre. They have 11 full lengths and all of them are masterpieces in their own right.

First in my series of doom-metal discussions. :D

Doom metal in my opinion, is the most under discussed and under rated genre of extreme metal. Also, some people seem to find Doom metal monotonous perhaps due to the fact is doom metal is mostly slow, as it depends more on the melancholic, depressive atmosphere it creates, rather than the speed of the music or the virtuoso skill of the musician.

Anyway, today's band is Doom:vs. I know it's a fairly well known band and i have mentioned them at least a 100 times in the few weeks i have been here at R&P, but still, i thought i should start off the series with one of my favorite funeral doom bands. It's a one-man project of Draconian's Johan Ericson. The band has two full length releases. Both of them of the highest standards possible in doom metal.
