  • Strange bump on my penis?

About a week ago I woke up with a strange bump on my penis. Not real big, but noticeable to me. Thinking it was some kind of pimple, I tried to pop it but to no avail. The bump has since gotten smaller, but when I squeeze it I can definitely tell there is something hard under the skin (kind of like a little hard bead). It doesn't hurt or itch or anything, but it's rather annoying to have something like a small bead under the skin on my penis.

Possibly related: about a year ago I got what appeared to be a deep pimple on the area above my clavicle. Same story. I tried to pop it, it didn't work, and now there is a little hard thing under the skin (even after a year). Is it possible for the inside of a pimple to (for lack of better word) petrify into something hard? Or maybe these aren't related incidents.

Anyway, some advice would really be appreciated so I can know what measures to take or if I should see a doctor. Thanks!

  • What song did Lady Gaga write in Cleveland?

I attended Lady Gaga's concert in Cleveland in July 2010 and she said she wrote "a number one hit" while in the city instead of going to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. I'm assuming it's one of the songs in the upcoming Born This Way album, but I am not sure which one.

  • Where can I find music from Kander and Ebb's "The Visit"?

I am a huge fan of Kander and Ebb and I am searching for some of their more obscure work. I am currently looking for music from their musical "The Visit" but it's proving to be very difficult. This musical only played in Chicago and Arlington and never made it to Broadway. Some help would be much appreciated.

  • Wireless internet help?

I just got a new motherboard for my computer because the old one was fried. Now, I set the computer up again and I am having trouble with the wireless internet.

First of all, all the lights on the modem are lit up solid, so there's nothing wrong there, and the upstairs comupter's internet works just fine. I tried connecting to the wireless connection with my new computer anc it asked for the passcode, so I entered it correctly and it logged in. But, then a little yellow triangle showed up over the internet icon and it said "limited or no connectivity" and I still can't access the internet.

I'm not sure what to do now, so it would be nice to get some help. Who ever answers correctly will get 10 pts.

  • Vote in the poll for me please!?

My friend's church actually made an announcement to go on my local newspaper's website and vote 'no' in a poll about legalizing gay marriage. While it's not a big deal, I think it would be fun to spite the church by voting 'yes'. The poll would have mostly been 'no' without any help from the church so I think it would be fun to be able to tell someone from the church that, because of that announcement, it actually backfired on them.

I already brought the 'yes' option up from 30% to almost 40% within 2 days by spreading this around!

The poll is about halfway down the page:

  • Who else thinks Obama should try something like this instead of TARP II?

Geithner's TARP II plan wasn't exactly well received when he announced it. I still highly approve of Obama's administration, but this means they should take the hint and make some serious changes to the vague TARP II plan.

    how about this:

imagine that the government goes to a hard-pressed homeowner and says: "Look, you bought your home for $500,000 and it is now worth $360,000 and you have a $400,000 mortgage you can't pay. We'll buy (say), a quarter of your home for $90,000. You take the $90,000 and use it to pay off part of your mortgage, reducing it to $310,000, thus resulting in lower monthly payments. And maybe the bank would be required to lower the interest rate as part of the deal. When you sell the house later, the government gets 1/4 of the proceeds." Something like this would (1) keep the owner in his house, (2) give the bank badly needed working capital, and (3) give the government a decent chance of recouping all its money over time, maybe even at a profit if housing prices eventually rise.

does anyone else like this plan?

btw, I read it on the website www.electoral-vote.com

  • I want to come out to my family soon?

I'm 17 and gay and I've known it for a while. I came out to my friends about 7 months ago and they are all okay with it.

My family is the tough part. Both of my parents are pastors (my dad just recently retired from his pastor job and works in DC for the gov't). My dad's side of the family is pretty conservative and I'm quite certain that most of them will not accept me.

My mother will probably be the more accepting one as she has a more liberal ideology than most of the rest of my family. However, she has acknowledged homosexuality as a sin before, but she doesn't think it's as big of a deal as my dad does.

I was thinking that maybe I should avoid a direct confrontation and leave a detailed letter at home while I'm out somewhere. If I do this should I do it during the week (when only my mom will be home) or should I do it on the weekend (when my dad is home from DC)?

I know there is no changing that there is gonna be some problems, but I don't think I can hide who I am from them anymore.

PS. Please don't just respond with "just tell them your gay". That doesn't help at all. I would prefer an answer from someone who was in a similar situation before and could tell me their experience. Maybe you could give me your email or screen name if you want to talk about it more outside of here. I just want a real answer that will help me.

    Thanks.

  • Question(s) about the 1988 Presidential election (10 points to best answer)?

I have to do a project for government and I'm almost done, but I still need to cover a couple questions:

-What were some of the most active interest groups and what roles did they play?

-How much money was each candidate able to raise?

-Was fundraising about even or did one candidate have a clear advantage?

If you're gonna give me a link, please don't give me a wikipedia link. Thanks :)

  • Power Point Question (10 points to best answer)?

I don't use power point much at all so I apologize if this is a dumb question. I want to use a music clip but I want the song to last for the duration of the presentation, not just for one slide. How do I do this?

I don't have the new powerpoint version if it makes any difference.

Thanks! (best answer gets 10 points!)

  • Who is your congressman/woman and do you approve of him or her?

Mine is Rep. Charlie Wilson (D) of Ohio's 6th district.

He's okay I guess. I don't agree with his stance on gun control and abortion though.

  • Odd question(s) about The Scarlet Letter...?

My English teacher gave an assignment to create a coat of arms for Hester Prynne and I need to answer some questions to make it.

While I love the story, I just can't think of anything. All the questions are based on opinion:

If Hester was an object what would she be? Why?

If Hester was a song what song would she be? Why?

If Hester were an animal what would she be? Why?

    Be creative! Thanks :)

  • Please help! What should I do?

I'm 17 years old and recently came out of the closet a few months ago (to my friends, not my family). The person I first told was my friend who was openly gay. He helped me so much to gather up the courage to tell the rest of my friends and he's now constantly giving me support to come out to my family. I quickly started to realize that I liked him, and I already knew he liked me. A few days later he asked me on a date and about a week after our first date we were officially dating. We both couldn't have been happier.

He's had a long history of bad boyfriends and little support from his family. All of his past boyfriends either verbally or physically abused him or cheated on him. I am the only boyfriend that has been a truly good person to him. He says he wouldn't know what to do without me.

It pains me to think this (after dating him for just a little less than 3 months), but I think I'm falling out of love with him. He's been with me through so much and he's such a great person who doesn't deserve anything bad. I want to be a good friend of his forever and always, but I just simply lost the feeling for him that I so strongly possessed not too long ago. I know that it will absolutely break his heart to hear this, but this is something beyond my control.

What should I do? How should I tell him? This will devastate him more than I can imagine. I still love him, but only as a friend... not in a romantic way. It would devastate me to see his heart broken when he truly deserves so much more than he has.

So please PLEASE give me the best advice possible. I don't know what to do :(

    Thanks,

    Ethan

  • important!! attention: coin collectors?

okay, my boyfriend gave me a coin while I was at his house a few days ago. he's a coin collector of sorts. it's only a couple days later and I have no idea where it went! I don't wanna tell him I lost it because he told me specifically not to lose it or it would make him upset and I told him I wouldn't. He calls it a "Chinese blossom coin" (probably just a name he made up for it) and he describes it as a small coin with chinese symbols and flowers on the back. I'm pretty sure it was silver.

I want to know specifically what coin it is so I can order it online for him in case I really lost it.

by the way, it's a modern-looking coin. it's not from ancient China or anything like that.

    please respond!!
