  • Trade Vernon Davis for Pierre Thomas?

I have been offered the trade above.

My RBs: Ray Rice, Shonn Greene, Tim Hightower, Dexter McCluster (RB/WR on Yahoo!)

I also have Lance Kendricks on my roster as a sleeper, and Jared Cook Jr., Greg Olsen, Dustin Keller, Ben Watson, Brandon Pettigrew are all available on the waiver wire. Is this trade worth it for me?

My gut feeling is to go for it because I think that TEs are so deep, and any of the guys I mentioned above could do in the same range of points as Vernon, especially Kendricks or Cook Jr. who have a similar skill set.

    Your thoughts?

  • Does Smoking Weed Make Me A Bad Role Model?

Heres the deal, i'm 20, i'm in university where i major in Poli Sci. I coach football at my old high school, as the JV offensive coordinator, and at the youth level where last year me and a buddy had both a 7-8 team, and 13-14 team. I've been coaching on the JV team since i graduated, and youth football since i was in grade 11, averaging about 10 hours a week, 16-20 weeks a year. I also smoke weed on average 7-10 times week. basically once a day, plus more on weekends.

I have never attended a practice, or school for that matter high, and i never will. i refrain from engaging in any conversation about weed with my players, and believe me with 13-17 year olds it comes up, and i will never smoke with a player while they are under my guidance, although if i see one of them at the bar years later, and they've made their own informed decision, i wouldn't hesitate to blaze with them. i generally smoke when i'm either A) about to play some serious video games, B) while i'm drinking, or C) maybe an all day thing when the stars of not having football, school, work or other commitments all line up.

Does my smoking make me a bad role model for these kids that i coach, or is it, as i believe, irrelevant to my ability to be a good role model and effective coach. If you were a parent, or are a parent, would a coach that smokes weed on his own time make you uncomfortable putting your kids in his care?

  • Who To Play, Maroney or Buckhalter?

With Moreno out, i dropped Donald Brown and (SEA) Mike Williams for both these backs before anyone else in my league could. Who do you think I should start of the two? I have T.O. playing at Flex right now, should I play one of them over him?

  • Is This FF Trade Good?

I've been offered Ahmad Bradshaw for Donovan McNabb.

    I have at QB:

    Favre

    McNabb

    Young

    Roethlisberger

    We start two QBs

My RBs are AP, Jamaal Charles and Michael Bush.

We can start 2RBs, as well as one at FLEX

If I am not getting enough for McNabb who should I try to add to this trade? He has Malcolm Floyd and Johnny Knox, should i try to get one of them too?

  • Waiver Priority Problem?

How is it that despite 5 owners making waiver claims since I did, I am at 7th on the Priority List. Should I not be 5th? I am using standard yahoo fantasy waiver rules and my understanding is when you make a claim you drop to the bottom and everyone slides up.

Do FA pick ups mid week that do not require a waiver period count as waiver pick ups?

  • What Should I Do With Michael Bush?

Run DMC did fairly well, coming off his injury i question whether Bush will be thrown back into the starting slot, and I really don't see much value in the second string OAKLAND running back when I already have AP, Jamaal Charles and Arian Foster. Should I cut him and look to grab another potential breakout WR of the wire, or is he still a viable option down the line?

  • Should I Stick With the 49ers Defense?

They are playing New Orleans, and with their play against Seattle they have me worried. Should I look to grab a flavor of the week and play that game all year? I can't afford to cut any players for a second defense.

    Some possibilities:

    KC D/ST @ Cle

    Sea D/ST @ Den

    NE D/ST @ NYJ

    Ari D/ST @ Atl

  • Is It Time To Cut Thomas Jones?

I drafted Jamaal Charles, and Thomas Jones this year as a little insurance, and with rumours that he was even going to get the start, I have been hesitant to drop him for a Waiver Wire breakout candidate. My roster is already holding some dead weight with Sidney Rice being injured, and I need to make a move for a couple of potential breakout WRs.

Given last night's performance by the Chiefs, is it a safe bet to drop Jones and maybe make a move for a WR like Collie, Mike Williams or even RB Brandon Jackson?

  • Should I Drop Sidney Rice?

My Wideouts as it stands are Sidney Rice, Wes, Welker, Santana Moss, Jabar Gaffney and Bernard Berrian.

I am going to likely win this week thanks to Arian Foster, but i need to find another guy to join my WRs and be a solid #2. Moss could be the guy, i'm not overly sold on Gaffney.

Welker had a big game, and I think he is a serviceable #1 WR, but i do need to solidify the rest of my WRs. There are some attractive free agents on the wire right now, including Austin Collie, Mike Williams (SEA), Nate Washington, and Mark Clayton.

My plan is to definitely cut Berrian, and hopefully get Collie, or one of those other three, but I am wondering if anyone thinks i should drop Sidney Rice and try to grab another one of these guys who could be potentially the breakout WR of 2010/11.

  • I have an Illuminati Question?

Given the information age we live in, where any person, in an instant, could post something on a site like facebook, myspace or especially twitter that is shared, that same moment with the entire world, how can a vast and complex conspiracy in the vein of the Illuminati not be exposed. I find it incredibly hard to believe that a conspiracy of this supposed size could avoid having a single person, if not many people defect, or realize their folly and use these tools to share their story and the information that they have.

no matter how great the conspiracy is, it could not in any way prevent something like this from occurring because by the time it happens, it would be too late. information, photos, tweets can all be shared instantly. why, if an illuminati like organization exists, has this not occurred.

also, it is impossible for a conspiracy of this magnitude, that wields this much supposed power to not involve at minimum several thousand people, because at the very least the heads of puppet governments must know they are puppets based on the orders they receive from their masters

  • Would You Say Scarface Carried the Geto Boys?

I have listened to lots of Geto Boys, and while they without question have their moments, the only one who consistently kills it is Scarface. Would Willie D and Bushwick even be relevant if Scarface was not in the Geto Boys?

The only reason I bring this up is because i just saw someone make a list of good southern rappers that included Willie D and Bushwick, but did not include TI, Wayne or Luda.

  • True Rhymes vs Fake Rhymes?

What I mean by this is there are Rhymes such as cat, hat, bat, which are true rhymes. The words actually rhyme, and don't just sound close. But then there are the rhymes that are somewhat common in hip hop that sound like they rhyme, but when you think about it, they don't really, its just how the mc spit it. IE: important, extorted <- Jay-Z. lost, across <- Rakim (is this a true rhyme, i am second guessing myself)

Does the use, or excessive use of rhymes that are not actually rhymes take anything away from a rappers talent? Personally I believe that if they can make it flow and sound right when they spit, its all good, but sometimes they do pop out at me.

  • Plight of a White Hip Hop Fan?

So Eminem is still holding down the #1 spot on Billboard, selling six figures for something like the 9 week in a row, Recovery is probably going to go down as the #1 album, at least in terms of sales this year.

Despite that, many people discredit his album saying basically, only white people buy eminem's music. But even if that were true, and in all likelihood, it is (and it is in all likelihood also true for Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, 50 Cent, Ice Cube, and countless black artists), why does the fact that the majority of his sales are to white people make his success any less incredible or positive?

As a white fan of hip hop, i have purchased Recovery, Trill OG and Distant Relatives this year, and Relapse, Back on my B.S., Blackout 2 and K.O.D. last year. I also fully intend to buy T.I.'s album, Jeezy's album, Ice Cube's album and Scarface's album assuming they all come out this year. Why is my purchase any less valid than a black guys, and why am I considered a substandard fan of hip hop, despite my support (through the purchase of albums and concerts) of both white and black artists including Eminem, Tech N9ne, Young Jeezy, Nas, Ice Cube, Game, Busta Rhymes, Method Man and many more?
