As a computer engineer, what would it takes to work at a company like Intel, AMD, etc. I'm asking technically (what core topics should I be good at to get accepted in any position you suggest), but any point in this subject is very helpful.

I have an ADSL connection in my house through the ZTE modem (ZXV10 W300). My problem is I need to have some control on the connected computers like allowing or disallowing some content like videos, flash, etc. probably throttling some bandwidth on some hosts or even block them!. I don't ask all of these but at least something that helps control the bandwidth on each computer. Any suggestion is helpful.

I'm a recent computer engineering graduate, and I look forward to work in a large hardware company like Intel, Nvidia, AMD, etc. that's why I'm searching right now but I can't find anything. So my question is does large companies like those have jobs for undergraduate ? or at least it has special career programs for fresh graduates ? I'm really interested in having an experience in such companies. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Then some of my friends told me that they got an original license for LabVIEW software from there instructor, bought by the university. So should the university provide students with software they need? or it's just not of there concern?

I'm planning to upgrade windows 7 on my laptop to windows 8, but how to rollback to 7 using the recovery manager? will it even work in the first place? regarding that the recovery partition is still intact.

By the way, i've created a backup DVDs from the recovery partition.

Whenever I download videos from a website that uses Silverlight Player, using Internet download manager, the entire windows freezes, nothing i can do but to shutdown the computer, The internet download manager works fine on youtube, I have the version 6.11 build 7 IDM and the latest version of Silverlight installed.

Any Help ?

I have some metro style application to be developed on Visual Studio 11 Beta using C++ language, I've checked the MSDN website on windows 8 development, but i don't understand anything of the code, the problem is they assume that you are familiar with many C++ features. I wonder if there are any resources for developing in windows 8 using C++.

I have a problem with my OS, i tried to install MS office 2010 x64 but Word didn't start after installation, but x86 version works correctly

Same Problem with AutoCAD 2012 x64 but this time, the installer failed and didn't install anything after a few seconds.

i have a problem in C# console application

int N = console.read();

console.writeline(N);

in this code, for each value i enter from 1-9 it gives me 49-57, but when using parsing, the output is correct.

is there something in the console.read method ? i've checked it on MSDN but it says that it should return 32 bit integer, any help ?

I've deleted some 3gp files from my mobiles but i want to recover them, it appears that i left a copy of them on my PC then i used wondershare data recovery to recover them, it recovered them but they didn't work !!

Is there any way to recover them from my mobile ?? or at least fix the recovered files ??
