  • Why do comedians make fun of The Olive Garden Restaurant?

I don't get it. It's a great Italian restaurant with great food. Conan, Jay, Letterman, etc always downplay and make fun of it. I don't know why.. do you?

  • Why does Yahoo Answers penalize people who ask questions?

I haven't asked a lot of questions in my time here, but I have just discovered that if you ask a question, you are docked 5 points. How much sense does this make? To answer a question, you are rewarded (2 points), but to ask a question, you are penalized.

It seems to me that if you ask a question, you should be rewarded 5 points, not docked, as you are contributing to the site! If nobody asked questions, nobody would be able to answer anything. It makes absolutely NO sense at all to penalize those who contribute to this forum.

I challenge a moderator to come here and answer the question, as I have paid 5 of my hard-earned points to ask this!

  • Unionized workers - are they relevant in today's society?

Or is it just an excuse to act like spoiled little children? Face it - we all live glamorously - we have houses, cars, clothing, unlimited access to food and water. We have cell phones, computers and video games. We all have opportunities to get an education.

In the past, unions were created during the industrial revolution as blatant exploitation from employers were evident.. it was created to protect the worker. However, today there seems to be no use for them. Wherever we are employed, we receive a fair wage for what the job is, perks, bonuses, vacations and flexibility.. among many other benefits.

Especially when it's a low-skilled occupation like driving a bus or working at a grocery store.. where little or no education is required, this is truly disgusting. Union workers will go on strike and demand to be paid more money, despite living in luxury, in this First-World country of ours. They will stomp their feet and act like two-year-olds if and when they don't get their way. They stop working and picket the streets.. and when the company hires temporary workers to get through the struggle, union workers will steep to the low level of throwing rocks and calling names - no different than grade two schoolyard bullies.

The result is negative - the company has to pay these whiners more money for less productivity, and the customer ultimately pays for it. Agree?

  • Why does Yahoo! Answers have a limit?

What is the purpose of setting a limit to how many questions a user can answer per day? There seems to be no reason for it. If anything, it's annoying and a turnoff.. very discouraging..

  • Does massage therapy really work?

I have chronic lower back pain and have been thinking of massage therapy. A chiropractor is out of the question - no way will I go anywhere near them.. but how can somebody rubbing their elbows on your sore back really do anything?
