  • Premarital Sex and Born Again Virgin?

A few weeks ago, my girlfriend of 3 months went to confession and has decided that she cannot have sex again until she is married (we have not had sex yet but were getting close). During this 3 months she wanted to be open and honest with me and told me all about her past which included multiple sexual partners outside of marriage but now says that because she confessed, she has been reborn as a virgin and cannot have sex until marriage. She told me she will have sex with me only if I marry her. I am interested in other peoples views on this.

  • Can IRS treat homes purchased for investment purposes as personal residences?

A taxpayer has 4 homes. The mortgage interest on homes 1 and 2 is deducted on Schedule A subject to the limitations. The additional interest paid above that allowable is personal interest. The taxpayer bought homes 3 and 4 strictly as investments due to the economic housing downturn. The houses are not rentals nor does the taxpayer live there or spend any time there. He is deducting investment interest expense only up to the amount of his investment income which is $15,000. The remainder is being carried forward. The IRS claims the interest on homes 3 and 4 is non-deductible personal interest and not investment interest. I cannot find anything on point in either Court Cases, Pubs, the Code or the Regs. Has anyone out there seen this issue and can you guide me to where I can find support for homes 3 and 4 being investment properties?

  • IRS Agent Trying To Apportion Mortgage Interest?

My return is being audited by the IRS. I bought a 4 bedroom 3 bath second home with a very large lot because it is located in a very rural area. The IRS agent is trying to apportion the mortgage interest that I paid between the improvements and the land in in an attempt to disallow part of the mortgage interest because interest pain on land is non-deductible. I have never heard of such a thing. I bought the house and land at once like you would buy any other property. The land always costs more than the improvements, especially in California. I have a mortgage secured by the home. Has anyone ever heard of this?

  • Puppy has Pancreatic Hypoplasia?

She has been getting thinner for about 3 weeks. She isn't digesting her food. The vet did a test on her pancreas and said she has a deficiency in her digestive enzymes. The vet has ordered the enzymes and all I can do is wait for them to come and start treating her. Has anyone else been through this? Did it come out ok?

  • Questions about Giradia?

I got a Rottweiler puppy 3 weeks ago. At first her stools were fine but after about two days she began having diarrhea. I took her to the vet and she was diagnosed with Giardia. The vet gave her Panacur and two doses of Flagyl but she has not gotten any better. She has not gained any weight in three weeks because everything seems to pass through her system so quickly. She eats a lot and drinks a lot of water and otherwise seems healthy. She was tested for Giardia again and the vet said it was negative but the symptoms never improved. The vet is now doing blood tests because she wonders if her pancreas is working properly. Has anyone else ever gone through this? Can Giardia still be the problem?
