  • Is Photoshop better job at extracting subjects from photos, than Photoshop Elements?

I use an iMAC and Photoshop Elements 4.0. and am working with my own photos taken with a Nikon D80. I expected it to be easier to extract an object cleaner than I'm doing, to place it in a layer with a completely different background. I'm wondering if I need to practice and work at it a lot more, or is Photoshop Elements more limited and I'd be better off investing in Photoshop and practicing with that instead? My goal is to make and sell greeting cards, calenders, books with animals.
