I'm a sophomore in high school and am hoping to pursue music production as a career, and I'd like to get started as early as I can. My goal career-wise is to open up a studio in the future and produce full records for bands at a professional level. Yeah, far-fetched, but it's a dream! I just don't know where to start with music production itself! Are there any introduction classes I could take online? I'm on a very low beginner level, and would at least like to learn the basics of producing, mixing, etc. by the end of my sophomore year.

Recently, I've really been digging Ben Howard's album "Every Kingdom". Any suggestions?

Face it, "Punk Goes" is getting old. There's no more punk (or pop-punk at that) on the tracklisting, which is now dominated by pop-rock, powerpop, metalcore, post-hardcore, and whatever else Rise, Fearless, and Victory are signing nowadays. If you were to decide the next Punk Goes installment (for the love of God, don't say Punk Goes Pop 6), what would the theme be?

I'm only 15, but after watching The Newsroom (Jeff Daniels, written by Aaron Sorkin), a show which I've taken a liking to, I want to become more involved in politics. People say it's hard to get into if you ask a person because they'll tell you their personal opinions, and leave out the other side of the argument, so I want some websites that I (as a 15 year old) could understand and gain knowledge from. I want to be able to classify myself as a liberal or conservative, as a Democrat or Republican, as a capitalist or a socialist, etc. Somebody please give me some helpful sites, thank you!

P.S. If you don't like my music taste, don't comment. Simple as that. I'm sick of people who seem to think their music taste is superior to others, it's my music taste so I can listen to whatever bands I please. Just because I listen to pop-punk doesn't mean that's all I listen to, so don't comment if you're going to be a prick.

I need help getting tanner quicker! I'm Irish, and due to that I'm pretty white and it's harder for me to tan and stay tan! I don't have the opportunity to go to the beach a lot, so I can only tan outdoors (backyard, stuff like that). Any tips to get a fast, long-lasting tan?

I had downloaded The Sims 3 to try it out out of pure boredom, but when I tried to start the game up, I was greeted with an error message reading:

"This appilcation has failed to start because d3dx9_31.dll was not found."

What is "d3dx9_31.dll" and how can I fix this problem?

What do you personally like listening to when it comes to rhyme schemes in hip hop? Here are some examples (Same letters = rhyme)

AAAA (All lines rhyme)

ABAB (1st & 3rd lines rhyme, 2nd & 4th lines rhyme)

AABB (1st & 2nd lines rhyme, 3rd & 4th lines rhyme)

ABAA (1st & 3rd & 4th lines rhyme, 2nd line doesn't)

AABA (Same as ABAA, yet the 3rd line doesn't rhyme instead of 2nd)

ABCABC (1st & 4th lines, 2nd & 5th lines, 3rd & 6th lines)
