  • Where in San Diego Could I Donate Children's Clothing & Toys?

    Hi,

I live in Northern San Diego County, and I have two toddler boys which means they outgrow everything very quickly. I have many toys and a lot of clothing, many new that I would like my children to donate to other, less fortunate kids. I would actually like it if they could actually give the things away themselves.

Does anyone know of a credible and trusted organization in San Diego where my children could donate the things they have outgrown?

Thank you for you help :)

  • Please give your opinion of these names for boys & girls?

May be considering a 3rd baby. I already have two sons (Ivan & Adrian). I have chosen bilingual names for boys, we are a Hispanic family, raising bilingual children. I have also chose names that sound very similar to those of my sons. If you would like to suggest any others, please do so.

    BOY:

    --Damian Alexander

    --Cristian Andres

    GIRL:

    --Natalia Isabel

--Alexandra Karina (Karina is my name)

--Giuliana Sofia (Giuliana is the Italian version of Juliana)

    --Estella Sofia

*I live in Southern California. Spanish names are more than common, so the spellings are not changing*

  • Why do parents choose baby names based on a nickname they like, or possible nicknames?

Has anyone picked a name for a child only because they like a nickname that derives from the name? For example, parents who chose a name like Charlotte ONLY because they want to call their baby girl Lottie. Or, have you come across those questions that ask "what a full name for _________, I really like the nickname__________"?

Also, what do you think about this particular trend?

  • Would you please give your opinion of these GIRL names?

My husband and I are considering a thrid child. We have two sons, so we obviously want a daughter. We have come up with four combinations.

We are Hispanic, so these names might sound a bit a "rhymy" as both names in most combinations end in A, but I assure you they do not rhyme in Spanish.

My sons are Ivan & Adrian.

What do you think of these..

    --Giuliana Sofia

    --Alexandra Karina

    --Natalia Isabel (my favorite)

    --Estella Sofia

  • An actual study on Baby Names? Your opinion please?

In a study of 55,000 children, the exam marks of those with 'lower-status' names - often spelled in an unusual way or including punctuation - were on average 3 to 5 percentage points lower than siblings with more traditional names. One of the reasons was that teachers had lower expectations of them.

What do you all think of this particular fact?

  • What is with all the "cutsie" names?

Every time I see names like Ellie, Kylie, Brynlee, Braelynn, Maisy, etc. I wonder if the parent have considered that their baby is only going to be an adult far longer than they are a child. Is it just me that thinks these names are tacky/horrible?

    What's your opinion?

I have noticed this becoming very trendy and have met three girls named Quinn, James and Logan. All under the age of 2! What do you think, is it cool, trashy, ok...?

  • This name for a girl. What is your opinion?

    Natalia Isabel

  • Opinions on these GIRLS names...they are Spanish?

Okay, I posted this question in the Spanish section, but got very mixed reviews. I know in English the names will sound like they rhyme, but don't pay too much attention to that, just pick the name that sounds best to you.

These names would of course be for a Hispanic baby.

    Thank you!!!! =)

    --Juliana Sofia

    --Alexandra Karina

  • Help with middle name for Cristian?

I really like the name the name Cristian, but I can't find a middle name I like to go with it. I would prefer something biblical.

The name is spelled without the H because it is for a Hispanic baby. I live in California so the name doesn't look weird or misspelled this way.

    Thank you

  • Please rate these 3 combinations (boys)?

Please rate on a scale 1-10. 1=hate, 10=love. Villatoro is the surname. Thank you.

    --Roman Nathaniel Villatoro

    --Cristian David Villatoro

    --Damian Alexander Villatoro

  • What do you think of this boy's name?

    Cristian David

Cristian is spelled without the H because it's the Spanish spelling. Don't worry this won't look misspelled or "weird" where we are from. Spelling aside, what do you think of the name? Thank you!
