Recently hooked my tower up and its running really slow. Before i do a clean swipe id like to hear any suggestions people have for speeding it up? Prior to unhooking it, it was running fine. Iv checked the ram and its unchanged. Iv freed a ton of memory. Scanned for Viruses and Malware (clean) defrags and cleared a ton of temp files. Everythings updated but if i play things like Minecraft it lags my pc like crazy. MINECRAFT lmao. I have a 2.40 ghz AMD ath processor. Again Prior to unhooking it minecraft ran fine. So any suggestions for speedin up my pc?

I cracked the screen on my acer aspire 5738z-4111. I want to replace it as cheaply as I can. There are many acer models that seem basically identical to mine. The same resolution, size, and features (HD and LCD) only I can find them $100 cheaper. Could I just use any of the 5738's that have the same screen specs or is it very important to get the exact model number?

I recently reformated my PC and just found my wireless driver. I noticed its only running at 54 mbs instead of the normal 100. The driver is Atheros AR5b93 wireless network adapter version 7.7.0.267and the OS is XP. Anyone know the issue?

Well my laptop is messed up and it wont load up past the login screen. Its worked once before but it hasn't since. I know the problem was a virus and it messed up my OS. I have a new version of Windows 7 (its legit i bought it) but before i install it i want to get my videos and pictures off my PC. How can i Temporally run an OS off a cd such as ubuntu and retrieve those files? I have seen it done before i just have no idea how to do it.

It was only half submerged for almost 10 seconds... theres a very small crack on the side of the bat and i think water may have gotten in. It fell out of the laptop into the water so i know the laptop is fine my question is after drying it (i turned it on its side and no water came out) would this thing ever work again? If not its not big deal but i wanna know if putitng it in would **** the laptop up at all.

For one i kept getting an error at startup PXE-E61 and PXE-m0f I couldn't start the computer with these errors.. Also my harddrive was wiped clean for some reason. Anyway i figured out i was able to get the PC to start if i angle it but if it lays flat it blue screens. I reinstalled my OS and now i just cant figure out how to get it to work without bein angled. I read that its posible the Hard drive isn't screwed in all the way but i opened up the laptop and tightend the screws with no luck. Its an Acer Aspire 5100.

Well im working on my laptop and im getting a few errors. The first two are PXe-ex1 and PXE-m0f. they made the laptop virtually unusable. I went into the bios but it didn't really fix anything. Anyway i held down right under the windows key and it seemed to bypass that problem which then brings me to boot manager. I should probably mention that i assume the harddrive has a bad connection and holding that piece down lets it connect. Anyway i dont own a windows XP disc so i decided to download a bootable one from a torrent (yes yes illegal) i set the bios to run from a cd. I reset the computer and it nstill went to the boot manager. Anyone know what the problem is? Its an Acer Aspire 5100

Theres a population control shot you get when you graduate hs. its like 1/10000000 kills you when you turn 18 or something along those lines. i think i only saw the first episode but it went into detail about the elaborate process they went through to make sure the manufacturers of the drug didnt know which shots would kill you. and the main character worked for an agency that had to tell the people and their family that the person was going to die 24 hours before hand and offer grief counseling to them. this one boy went all crazy and killed the people who were picking on him and the main character tried to get him to stop so he didnt dishonor his family. i think the main character had a bunch of inner monologues about his job and how he thought it was necessary but he hated it i think. any who if you know it, help me out! thanks!

I'm trying to find this anime I saw once. I tried to explain it to my gf but she said flcl then just called me retarded as I went on. He was a kid with jet black spikey hair, he was wearing a red coat/vest with a popped collar. I think he had like a robot hand or something that someone was talking to him through. He used a gutair as a weapon, the music, not the actual guitar. And I remember him in a metal room fighting someone.

I just finished watching the series and was wondering if there was a show similar to it. I'm not necessarily looking for an anime, or a kids show, or something with the same sort of subject matter (using natural elements or some sort of magic and or some sort of epic struggle of good vs evil), more a show with the same sort of humor and story telling techniques. I loved all the references and meta humor and the way the characters were developed, and the way they filled up any plot holes just as you were about to go what the hell. I also wouldn't really like a ludicrously long and overly dramatic show like either like DBZ, Naruto, or Bleach. I enjoyed this show because it deviated from the stereotypical anime modle, at least enough to get me interested in it. It was short enough to keep its story on track, it was funny enough and subtle enough to appeal to both a young and old audience, and the story was pretty interesting. If you are going to bother to respond, please don't just spit out the first crappy anime that comes to mind like it seems so many other answerers did when other people asked. To be honest I'm not too much of an anime fan and so would probably not enjoy it unless is was as unique as Avatar. I have COD4 and its a pretty good game but i honestly cant see why its worth it to get MW2? Whats different? The guns really cant be that different and i doubt theyve added vehicles or what ever. Could anyone tell me why COD MW2 is worth it?

I was wondering how Minnesota was political and religion wise as well as how it was doing economically. I'm really interested in moving there but these big concerns for me. I don't want to move to a place where not only can i not find a job but i dont really fit in. I'm young so im talking about a job like a cashier or clerk or anything along those lines, even something part time. as for the social part im just looking for a town that isnt very fanatical about anything. i just kinda want a quiet, keep it to yourself sort of place.
