The gray white sky effectively covers the sun. Keeping it's warm comforting light away from her. Even without the sun the day is bright from the blanket of snow covering the yards and houses. If only it was a real blanket that she could cover with and warm her soul. The squirrels and little birds go about their daily work of finding food and shelter. As the squirrels chase each other she wonders if they can feel the joy that she cannot. Do the songs the birds sing bring joy to one another? What would that feel like? Neighbors go about their daily comings and goings. Do they know what it's like to feel removed from life? To see life being lived, do they appreciate being able to participate fully in it? How unfair it seems to have a "good day" not completely feeling but knowing just enough so life feels real, knowing what could be. She has it stolen away by the dark abyss of sleep. Dreams are not allowed in this sleep only darkness until at last it's time to awaken. When she does will it be to the white blankness or to pastel colors of a semi-life or will the darkness finally break to full colored life. Every morning brings a new day to her, only her disorder will decide what color it will be.

I've gained about 20 lbs. because of medications that I need to be on. Does anybody have any suggestions as to how I can lose the weight. I've been really strict with what I eat and exercising every day. I don't know what the problem is and could use some advice from anybody that has gone through the same thing. Thanks

I'm bi-polar and a little over 3 months ago I had a major depression. Now I'm starting to slide down hill again and it hurts so much to have this happening so soon. I'm on meds and see a counselor so that isn't a concern. I've got a horrible case of the why me's and can't pick myself up. Anybody have any kind words of encouragement. I sure could use them.

About three months ago I had a major depression attack. It felt like I really didn't care about anything and if I didn't have my children and husband I'd be suicidal. I'm Bi-polar with PTSD, and I am being treated for it both meds and counseling. The last two weeks I've started to head for the depression end of being Bi-polar again.I know It'll run it's course and I'll be fine again but I could really use some kind words of encouragement if you have them.
