  • reloading and casting with Lee?

Ok so i have been reloading with a lee turret press for awhile now and i really enjoy doing it..

what i want to do now is get into casting my own bullets for my hobby and i think i have a pretty good handle on what is required and needed however i have one question that maybe someone has insight into..

I use Lee products because i like them and they are affordable with a good company standing behind them so this a lee products question i guess..

The lee cast bullet molds and resizer die.. Lee says the Lee molds need no resizing in most cases yet they sell resizing dies for cast bullets... should i need the resizing dies if i use lee molds...?

or should it be fine not to use them... i dont really know.

  • Taurus tracker and reloading?

I am going to get a a 44 magnum in the very near future.

I do not intend to hunt but just something for my son and i to enjoy shooting.

I do reload my ammo and have a ton of brass in this caliber that i got for free.

my question is whether the Taurus tracker 44 magnum will stand up to a regular diet of 44 mag loads? i know the super Blackhawk would hold to most anything and i am leaning toward the ruger but i dont think i plan on loading much past minimum charges with 240 grains most of the time.

i do want to load hotter eventually but only a small percent... will the taurus hold up to hot loads if used rarely with hot loads.. just some thoughts..

  • uberti revolvers any opinions?

Does anyone have experience with Uberti? i heard they are pretty good.

i am looking at one chambered in 38 special and its a birds head... thought it may be fun.

anyone know anything about them? or experience.. it has an internal firing pin so i am wondering if it is safe to carry 6 in the cylinder.. not that i plan on doing much more than range plink with it

  • Ruger Blackhawk issue?

Ok I have a dilemma on my hands i know fellow gun enthusiasts can sympathize with.

I have a Smith &wesson 649-3 .357 magnum with the old frame and no california lock on it.

it is hard to find indeed. I have 2 other 357 smiths a 19 and a 686.. i consider these ones keepers.

ok i want a ruger black hawk chambered in 41 magnum or 44 magnum superblack hawk..

the 41 i can get new for 450 and the 44mag i can get for 513.

I have an offer of 450 for my smith& wesson but i am not sure what to do.. i want both... classic right?

I do reload so a 41 mag or 44 mag would be simple to reload but still those rounds arent cheap even in reload. it would not be for hunting or anything like that.. campin for sure though..

    what would you all do?

  • smith &wesson 442 for 686?

    I have a smith&wesson 442 airweight but i really want a 686 with 2.5 inch barrel.

i have enough saved for the 686 if i sell the 442. i have an offer on the 442 for 325.00 which would be almost what i paid a year ago for it. i want the 686 but i dont know. would anyone do that deal?

i am considering keeping my 442 and getting a magnum caliber from Taurus for alot less than the 686. not as good a revolver i know but cheaper and i could keep my 442. what would you do. thanks

  • ruger super blackhawk WTB?

Okay i want to get a Ruger super blackhawk in 44 magnum. i already have this gun in 357 so i know they are good. I have a beretta 84fs in my safe that i would like to sell and use the money for the Ruger. it does not get that much use only for range time once in awhile. i am thinking if i am going to have something that is not gonna be used in a EDC application it might as well be something real neat to shoot and look at. Would anyone else do this or is this a bad idea?

  • what is my ruger LCP worth?

I have a Ruger LCP and i am going to sell it. it has little use and has been carried more than shot.

the round count is under 200 and has plenty of life in it. it comes with everything including 4 total magazines and 3 of the magazines have the pinky extensions for better control. the extra mags alone were 27 bucks each. it also comes with a desantis nemesis pocket holster. all original box and literature is with it. i am throwing in ammo with the deal. i am asking 330.00 and would take right around 300.00 is this a fair price for this gun?

  • 1994 toyota pickup WTB?

I am lookin at a 1994 toyota pick up with 133000 original miles. i have driven it and everything seems to run well. it was involved in a minor accident and the engine hood and driver side front fender were damaged and replaced. the trucks drivability is not affected in anyway. everything seems solid other than cosmetics which does not concern me. my question is for 1700 dollars is this a good buy. I know toyotas are good. i just dont want to screw myself
