I'm 19 years old and very interested in people, books, animals and the world at large. I love to read, write and draw as well as listen to and play music. Horseback riding and swimming are my two favourite physical activities. For years, my friends have been turning to me to sort out their problems with others and with themselves. I am essentially an untrained psychologist and as such, I do my best to answer and help people without bias. I am agnostic, for those who believe that religion matters and tend to fall on the liberal side of politics. I believe that people should be free to make their own choices as long as they don't harm others by doing so. I also believe that if said others choose to let something that doesn't really affect them bother them, that's their own fault. Apart from all that, I am very friendly, though fairly introverted. I like to talk to others, especially when they have a new puzzle for me to solve. I'm currently in university for English and Math.
What's the difference between "puppy love" and real love?
I've been looking around a lot and I've noticed that a lot of the time when someone young thinks they're in love, most people dismiss it as "puppy love".
So what's the difference between this "puppy love" and real love?
How old do you have to be before you're told that what you feel is more than just "puppy love"?
Why is it that it's only when people are young that they're told their feelings aren't real?
Why do you think that people under whatever age you picked cannot experience true love but only "puppy love"?
Of course, you can replace "puppy love" with whatever term you choose but the questions are still the same.
Before any of you start saying that I'm a young person trying to justify my puppy love, I'm 19 with the maturity of about a 25 year old and I'm pretty sure I'm not in love with anyone. This is just a question I felt I had to ask because I've seen too many people just brush a question about love or relationships off with "you're too young to know what love is".
9 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoWhat are some overused cliches in novels that really bother you?
I intend to be an author one day and from talking to friends, I know most people find certain overused themes, characters and cliches very annoying.
So what bugs you? What will irritate you if you read it or maybe even stop reading altogether?
I plan to work mostly in Fantasy or semi-Realistic so things in those genres would be the most helpful but feel free to tell me any things that just get on your nerves.
