  • My former windows vista drive is now in RAW data format?

For the past year I have had constant issues with Vista crashing, and not being able to run well on my computer. I have finally decided to put back on XP. The drive vista was on is still intact. I removed that drive from my machine. I installed a new drive on my computer, put on XP and I'm good to go. Now the problem is when I installed that 2nd drive (that still has vista), I went to access it from XP and it says in order to access the drive you must format it. It apparently is in raw data format. I did nothing to format the drive or erase anything, it should be fully accessable and yet it is not. What could be the problem??

  • Computer turns off after 5 seconds because I updated my bios?

I cannot figure this out, this is driving me nuts.... what I am doing wrong here? I have an ABIT AV8 motherboard using windows vista. In the past I used a program they have called flash menu in windows, this program lets you select the bios file you downloaded from their site and update it. After doing this, anytime I shut down my computer and restart it turns on for 5 seconds and then turns off. Nothing comes on the screen. I pulled the battery and wait and have to let it clear for 10 mins then put it back in and then it works fine. But every time I shut it down, I have to keep doing this. This is ridiculous, I shouldn’t have to pull my CMOS battery and wait until I can boot every time I want to start my computer. I even tried installing slightly older versions of the BIOS, that didn’t work. I even tried flashing it using the DOS utility and a DOS boot disk, so I was completely out of the windows environment and that didn’t work either. Please someone help!

  • How much will the body shop repair cost?

I bought a car a little over a month ago and unfortunately there was a recent rain/wind storm which blew a garbage can against the passenger side of my car and scratched it several areas. Some of the surface and milder deeper scratches I was able to eliminate. But there are about 5 scratches about 1 inch in size and less I cannot get out. In fact I have made them worse by trying to use 2000 grit sand paper and compounds with touch up paint to get them out. So my question is, A. would a body shop even consider doing this repair since its small in comparison to what they normally repair, and B. how much would it cost typically?

  • 2008 Honda Civic Question?

I have an 08 lx civic. I know this is probably a dumb question but... On the driver’s side where the door panel is, there are 4 buttons. One is for door locks, 2 are for the driver’s side and passengers side windows and there is a fourth one in the top right corner. What does this button do and also at night it is not lit. Is mine bulb or burnt out or is it just not illuminated from the factory?

  • What is the recommended amount of money to buy in for a low limit poker game ($2-$4)?

  • Poker question when you have Ace King (Suited or Non Suited)?

This question is for low limit poker ($2-$4 limit). Lets say you have AK suited or unsuited and you a raise and a few people fold and the flop completely misses you, something like 3-3-2 on the flop or something really crappy. If your first to act should you bet?

What if you bet are your raised? If your last to act and its checked to you, should you bet or check? And if you bet and are raised what do you?

  • What type of motherboard will fit in a HP Pavillion 4453 model?

A friend of mine has this kind of computer and brought it to me for help. We have a feeling the motherboard is fried. The power supply is powering up but it does not boot up. Initially we though it was the onboard video, so we bought a PCI video card, stuck it in there, and still nothing on the screen. Now I'm thinking its the motherboard, memory or processor (Or all three). But I don’t know where to look to get a replacement. Any ideas?

  • What to do when apple care says your iPod is "working fine"?

Not too long ago (about a month) I bought the new 6th generation ipod classic. I really liked my 5th generation 30gb one but I bought this one because its 160 GB and I want to be able to store more movies and music. Not too long after buying it I realized it froze while listening to music or just navigating through the menus. Also while watching a movie it will restart itself during any random part of the movie. Basically it behaves weird from time to time, but not consistently. At least not consistently enough for apple to think there is something wrong with it. I requested a new one from apple. So they sent me a pre-paid package, I sent it off to them in California, and they ran some diagnostics on it over a period of a few days. Now I get an email saying from them they cant find any thing wrong with it and they are sending it back. They claim they have installed the most recent firmware on it (which I guess is supposed to fix these weird things happening) but I'm not buyin

  • Do you need a high def TV to use a component video cable for the ipod classic?

I have a 160gb ipod classic and bought the apple brand component video out cable. My TV is only a year old (standard tube flat screen) and has component video inputs. They work fine when I hook up my dvd player to it, but when I hook my ipod to it I get a bunch of distortion (basically its not accepting the signal). This also happened when I hooked up my 5th gen ipod video. It does work when you use the standard compostite video (red, white and yellow cables).
