  • How long to keep old paperwork?

    I'm curious how long old paperwork such as cable, utility, credit card bills should be kept.

    We pay 99% of all our bills online but still get tons of paper mail.

    My wife says it should be kept for 7-10 years for tax purposes.

    I say shred it after the next billing cycle is received.

    Meanwhile it keeps piling up.....

  • Windows Media player updated - now it doesn't work!?

    I just did a Windows Update (XPPro SP2) and one of the updates was for Windows Media Player ver. 11.0.5721.

    Previous version 10.xxx worked fine but I updated anyway.

    Now it doesn't show video. The audio works fine. Any ideas? I cannot figure out how to go back to ver 10. I've heard that you can't....
