  • My girlfriend is still using dating apps and personals posts. Should I break up with her?

We ve been in a relationship for almost a year and we stay in different towns and mostly see each other on weekends. Of late, she has been active on numerous dating sites and even had a craigslist personals post. She did this all using my computer. I responded to her post as a stranger and she responded back and having fun. Meanwhile I confronted her and she apologized and said she wanted to be with me. But the distances scared her. I asked her if she really wanted to be with me and gave me happily ever after bullshit. Although all this time she s continued the email conversation with the stranger and shown willingness to meet him and hang out. Should I break up with her?

  • What are the future opportunities for an electrical engineer trainee in elevator sector in India?

I have been working with an MNC in elevator sector in India. I had some experience (< 1 year) in Electrical Engineering (building services) prior to joining this company, though they appointed me as a trainee. Now I am just about to complete my "Training Period". I am looking for a switch. What kind of opportunities should I look out for? Whole of my previous experience is in the engineering part. Can I seek an opportunities in Procurement/SCM?

  • Dell Latitude D531 WLAN trouble. Is the laptop faulty or the router?

I'm using Dell Latitude D531 laptop. A few days ago, I got a wi-fi router at home (iBall Baton, Range 150 metre as claimed on the package), so that I could use single connection with a WLAN cable for my PC & wireless for laptop & smartphone.

The trouble is with the wi-fi. My Samsung smartphone always connects well with this wi-fi connection with no troubles. But the laptop won't even detect the wi-fi network (the distance is hardly 3 mtr without any obstruction), even when the phone kept just besides it would be connected nicely. Once in a blue moon, this laptop connects to my wi-fi & works well till you restart it. It has never detected my wi-fi network unless I delete this network & reboot a number of times (15-20 times atleast). What I know is, other laptops do connect automatically to a network saved on them.

I would have definitely done away with this laptop, had it not been very prompt in detecting other distant wi-fi networks in my neighbourhood.

This is just adding to my confusion, whether

    1) My laptop is faulty because it can not detect my wi-fi network, whereas my phone would do it

    OR

    2) My wi-fi router is faulty, because my laptop would detect a few other distant networks in my neighbourhood.

  • Career in Procurement/SCM?

I'm have done BE in Electrical Engineering & have almost 2 years of job experience in Engineering & Design related profile. Now I want to go for Purchase/Procurement/SCM profile. How can I make this transition realize & do it smoothly? Shall I have to start from scratch? Is doing an MBA the only option? I have considerable experience dealing with the vendors, though more on technical aspects. Should this help me?

  • Does an UPS have an in-built stabilizer or it is to be bought separately?

I am planning to buy an UPS for my PC workstation. Given that there can be large voltage fluctuations (10-15%) with rated AC supply of 230V, 50Hz, is the in-built stabilizer of UPS set is sufficient or I need a separate stabilizer unit?
