I recently got wechat and I noticed that on every single one of my friends moments there are no likes or comments (unless I just cant see them on my phone for some reason?) on wechat do people usually not like and comment on their friends moments? or whats going on?

I know all of these can mean time, but in which cases do we use each of them?

Ive been talking to a chinese girl my age (Im a guy) and she keeps saying 我亲爱的朋友。I know this means my dear friend, but Ive also heard 亲爱 can mean more something like beloved or honey. So is she trying to flirt with me/sweet talk me, or is this normal for chinese people to say to their friends? Thank you!

I'm in high school and this girl who's a year older always tells me I'm so cute. I never talk to her besides when I randomly see her in the hall and she says this. Nobody else has ever said this to me, what does it mean?

Including all expenses roughly how much will it cost? Also how easy is it to get scholarships and how much will they lower the cost? I'm going to play guitar for a concert in a few weeks and I need some awesome buckethead songs to play, however I'm not the best guitarist so all of his great song are too hard. Right now I can play the redeem team and sail on soothsayer so similar difficulty songs would be great. Also Id prefer more upbeat songs (as opposed to his Colma album for example) thanks!

I have been playing guitar for 4 years now and yet I'm still now very fast. I mostly play lead yet I can't achieve the fast speeds necessary for many songs. I've timed myself play some riffs and I can only achieve a max of 8-10 notes per second on riffs I know well. I've tried everything from doing scales everyday to just playing songs and it seems in the last couple years my speed hasn't improved at all. Does anybody have ant suggestions? I want to be able to play about twice as fast, that's my goal anyways even if it takes a few years (btw I play anywhere from 1-4hours a day :(

Hi there! I am currently starting my long journey to learning Cantonese. I hope to be able to have a conversation in Cantonese with my friends by the end of this. I need help gaining software to learn this language. I'm currently finishing the pimsluer course, and plan to move on to a podcast by RTHK that has 180 5-20minute long lessons, and I will use the FSI course after that. Finally I will use Eurotalk's computer software to add some basic vocabulary. Do you have any suggestions for other methods I should use, or any insight on whether the above mentioned programs are any good (ie. Good pronounciation, current language etc.) I'd prefer to spend as little as I can, but buying a simple $20 workbook I would be ok with if you think it would help. Finally I'm more interested in the spoken language atm.

This is a two part question. 1. I heard there are 6 tones: low falling, low, low rising, mid, mid rising, high (and the vanishing high falling) however I am learning Cantonese and some words have a mid falling tone. (I don't know proper romanization but here's how I think they're spelled with roman characters) will you eat lunch with me? Ne seurng m suerng tong ngo sik naan? The word tong (with) has a mid falling tone. Next: water please soeu m goui the m in please has a mid falling tone. Is my language software wrong (pimsluers) or am I missing something?

Question 2: If I spoke every word with the same tone, or the wrong tone would I still be understood?or would they think it's jibberish?

Hi! I'm a native English speaker, and I only speak English and some French (since I'm in Canada). I have started to use Pimsleurs Cantonese learning software because i want to learn Cantonese. Perhaps when I complete it (12/30 lessons done) I will take classes to improve my learning. I know people who speak Cantonese (however I'm not Chinese so my family doesn't) so I'd like to learn it. However I'd also like to learn mandarin since it's the official language of china, and has 800 million (about?) speakers worldwide. Would I confuse my Cantonese if after this pimsleurs, I did the 100 lesson mandarin one? Also could I continue to learn Cantonese at the same time I do the mandarin lessons? I'm not to worried about the writing system, tho learning mandarin for pinyan would be very useful, Id much rather learn for the speaking aspect. Thanks for your help!!!!

Hi I've had my xbox live account for about 6 months and I usually play gears of war 2 now I understand there are hosts and stuff but since about 2 days ago the lag has been horrible and usually my connection is good in games I can't shoot and I teleport sometimes however during I game there will be periods where the connection will be normal does anybody know how I can make my connection always be normal? I've tried unplugging and replugging the modem and router (I use a cord from my router to the xbox) also nobody has been dl stuff in my household finally my gears disc is scratched could that cause laggy xbox live? Thank you

I downloaded the gears of war 2 mappack on my brothers account on my xbox then my xbox broke and was out of warranty so I sold it with the harddrive to a guy for parts I then later bought a new xbox arcade got a new harddrive and I downloaded both my and my brothers accounts off xbox live I reinstalled the maps off my brothers account but when I play on my account they don't work???? Could it be because my account is on the memory card not the harddrive or what?

I know There are over 100 styles of Kung Fu but I wondered if you could list some u knew and talk about them ie focuses on kicking stuff like that also what animal styles are there and were they actually used for fighting? I have a compaq windows XP computer about 6 years old and I'm using An even older IBM monitor lol anyways today i was recording music on my pc and then I decided to take a 10 minute break when I came back my monitor turned black and the light was yellow I tried clicking with my mouse as that usually will turn the monitor back on but it did nothing I turned the monitor on and off and it did nothing then I held down the power button on my pc to turn it off then when I restarted it my monitor was still black with a yellow light I even tried plugging the cord into my pc again to make sure it wasn't loose help me!
