I've been trying to clean my speedometer and radio displays, the clear plastic/glass. I've tried windex, water, alcohol (all separately) and even interioring detailing wipes that said they were safe for those displays. I don't know how to get them clean without the streaks, and I even used a soft lint free cloth. What do I do!?

Im going to be studying abroad in Spain and I have an iphone 4. I'm kinda new to this whole concept that I can unlock the phone and buy a new sim card for it, so I just want to get this straight. So if I unlock my iphone 4, when I get to spain i should be able to buy a sim card for it from a local carrier right? And then when I come back to the us I should be able to just pop in my AT&T sim card and use it here right? I dont care if I have to pay two phone bills to keep my att service current and the local carrier (which actually I think Id go with a prepaid sim card I think thats possible), because thats a ton cheaper than 4 months of roaming charges, plus I have skype for calling the US when im in spain. I want a local sim card. So please someone tell me if I'm right to assume I can do this (even if its illegal-whatever) and correct me if I'm wrong. Any advice from regular international travelers is appreciated.

Lately I've been getting TONS of mosquito bites.. It has rained quite a bit in the midwest so I know with the increased standing water the mosquitoes are really out. But I've had 8 bug bites within the past like 2/3 days which seems insane to me.. I don't spend that much time outdoors and no one else who I go out with seems to be getting bit. I use self tanner regularly, and I know DHA is derived from sugar cane.. do you think that my self tanner is attracting mosquitoes because of that?

One of my headlights probably has a leak in the glue from what I can tell after doing a thorough google search, and as a result when I wash my car or when it rains it fills up with more water and it doesn't go away. I read that you can bake the headlight and pull it apart clean it and reseal it with glue, but I'm totally scared to do this myself because I don't want to pay for a new headlight if I totally mess up. Does anyone know where I could take my car to have this done? Would the dealer be able to fix it, or a repair or collision shop? Or would it be cheaper to buy a new headlight than have to pay for labor? Or should I just brave it and try to bake it myself and reseal it?

This is my first time taking out my nose bone (I let my piercing fully heal with a ring for months before changing it to a nose bone) and then I went to take out my nose bone to change it and it bled. Is this normal since Im "popping" it in and out? Or do you think I have a sensitivity to the type of metal?

I've heard Avon makes one.. but are there any brands you can buy at the store that won't wash off?

Has anyone else found random songs on their itunes library? I was shuffling through my music one day and ran across songs I had NEVER heard of it and definitely didn't download. I didn't even recognize the bands! I'm just trying to figure out how they got there.

Ive been dying my hair black for a long time. I'm kind of bored of just the plain black, but I still love it so I want to keep some black in there. I was wondering though if I get highlights, can they do two colors (like a medium brown and a deep chocolate/red brown) or can I only put one color of highlights? I don't mind if they charge more for both colors!

If clothing styles always repeat themselves, why can't architecture? I love gothic architecture and I'm sure I'm not alone. Why have we pretty much ceased to build anything that even comes close to resembling some of the most beautiful cathedrals and palaces ever built. Of course that's my opinion, Im sure maybe there are some people out there that don't really want to bring back Gothic architecture.. but for me I'm tired of looking at glass and steel and concrete buildings... that are supposed to be beautiful.. but all I see is urban decay. What are your thoughts on this?

I know its not reflexive (or it can be but has a different meaning... I mean "I miss my friends" in this case) but anyway Im really confused about whether I use les or los and if I need les or los when I have "a mis amigos" at the end. I understand without that clarifier I still need les or los but which one is it!?

For the past three years Ive done nothing but switch jobs every 6 months to a year. In fact a year is the longest Ive ever been in one place. Im in college and Im sick of working the dirty jobs and the dead end jobs. Im always at the bottom of the food chain and I hate it. I know the best way to get out of that position is to just stay in one place and work my way up (since I dont have a bachelors degree yet and bachelors degrees are nothing but a second high school degree and mean almost nothing these days) but I just dont know how much more BS I can put up with. Its always a power struggle and Im always unhappy. And now I find it hard to even find another job because people dont trust that I will be with their company very long. And now that Im in the job I hate the most out of them all (inbound telemarketing) and seem to be stuck there... I have to find a way to like my job. The fact that it pays the bills doesnt make going to work any easier. I dread it. How can I change my attitude and my environment without actually leaving my job? Or is it hopeless?

I went looking on craigslist for jobs and I found one I really like. I was sent a reply back really quick... almost too quick like it was an automated reply not something someone just sat down and wrote up. IThe reply said something along these lines "thanks for the quick reply heres what the job entails.. etc.. and you'll need to use a company credit card. Due to problems in the past we'll need you to fill out a credit report. Heres a link. Fill it out and send me an email with your report and we can set up an interview. Make sure to tell me your hours of availability as well."

Well first of all the link didnt work and then on second thought it seemed weird that any company would want me to send them my credit report through email. I see why they want to check my credit but this seems like the wrong way to go about such a thing. I did email them back with my hours and said I would fill out a credit report in a more confidental way and no quick reply. I wonder, do you think this is a real job posting or just a scam? Everything about how the job read seemed real but I guess someone could just be really good at wording!

Currently I believe you are considered dependent if you are not married, under 24, and not in graduate school. There are some other factors like if you are an emancipated minor, etc... But my question is, is this a fair way of calculating whether a student is financially dependent, or not? I mean lets look at two situations. Jennifers parents have a very low income. They've never been to college. Jennifer is a twin, so both her and her sister are in college. Because of this she is receiving grants and funding from the government. But in the end, she will be paying her education, not her parents. They don't have the funds to pay for it and never intended to. It will be jennifers responsibility. Now lets take the other girl, Mary. Her parents make over 100k a year. However they made some poor choices and are in a lot of credit card debt because they've always lived outside of their means their whole life. Now because they make so much money, Mary cannot receive any financial aid except for some small scholarships (not nearly enough) and a ton of high interest private loans. In the end, just like Jennifer, Mary will have to pay for her schooling because her parents in all reality, cannot afford to pay the student loans just like Jennifers parents. Do you think that Mary should be punished for her parents mistakes? Do you believe that either student should be considered dependent based on their parents ability to pay for their education? If we forget about the amount of funding that is actually available from the government and from the school, and we pretend that they for sure had the means to support every student who considered themselves financially independent, would this definition of a dependent student still be fair? What about Jane who is married but her parents are paying her way through school? Should she be receiving funds because she is independent.. just because of her marital status? Now I know that part of the problem is that there isn't a wealth of funding for higher education in the US, but still, putting that aside, is it fair how we evaluate students in such a black and white manner?

I think a lot of people can identify with me when i say it seems easier and faster to just get fast food on my lunch break at work. The food is hot and ready, and although I gotta go pick it up and it gets very costly it seems faster and more appealing than a tv dinner or a salad every day for lunch. What do you do to combat the urge to get fast food on your lunch break? And although tv dinners are quick and cheaper than fast food, tv dinners are still not cheap for a college student to be buying for everyday of the week. I really want to save money but still have delicious options to take to work. Im all about variety.. and preferably hot food over cold. Salads are ok sometimes but not everyday!

Ive been using lancome foundation for a little while now (teint idole) and I absolutely love it. But my skin has been breaking out really bad! I really don't know what it is that is making me break out because it could be a variety of reasons, but since it happened shortly after i bought the foundation I can't rule out the fact that it could be the foundation. Has anyone else had problems with lancomes foundation? And does anyone know, even if you have a good oil free foundation, if you leave it on too long (like say all night) can it still cause break outs? I often go to sleep without washing off my makeup because I work late nights and by the time I'm off I'm so tired its easier to just fall into bed! I've also been really stressed lately so this could be the cause of the acne too, but I just wanted some opinions what you think about the foundation etc. I have really sensitive skin as well, and i think Im allergic to the fragrance in most cosmetics. Is lancome fragrance free or is it not? Ive tried clinic but even though their products might not irritate my skin, i find them to be of inferior quality. I absolutely hate the quality of clinic and Im going to be bummed if its my lancome make up thats irritating my skin!

I got a job at a small privately owned Salon about a month ago. The first day the owner/manager of the Salon told me that I couldn't fill out my paperwork (like I9, W4, etc) because he only had one copy and would have to make more. Well I worked there for about 2 weeks and I constantly asked for him to make copies of the paperwork because I needed to get paid as soon as possible because I need to support myself. Well I worked there a little over 2 weeks, and on that third week I was supposed to get paid on Friday, but on Monday he called me to say that he was going to let me go (he didn't give any reason for firing me or laying me off). I asked how I could fill out my paperwork and get a check for the time I worked and he said oh I just need your social security number and date of birth to cut you a check. So I told him both over the phone, and he said he would mail me a check. However it is now a week after I should have gotten my check, and I feel that this man has worked me for 40 hours with no intentions of sending any money. I have bills and rent to pay. How can I get my money without the help of a lawyer since this would be costly and I don't have any money?

What is the possibility of becoming fluent in a language without studying abroad and without the presence of locals whose native language is the one your learning for practice outside the classroom?

I just bought a king size mattress.. and I found this awesome king duvet set online that came with two standard size pillow shams. Will a normal size pillow fit or do I need to buy king size pillows for the shams? The description did not give me any measurements, it just said "standard size". I don't know if that means standard pillow size or standard king pillow size to be honest. I dont want to buy two king size pillows and not have them fit inside the shams or two standard pillows that are too small for the shams.
