I scored 8/10, 18/20, 30/50 and 70/100 in 4 different tests... If I do this :
(8+18+30+70)/(10+20+50+100) * 100%, what kind of calculation is it?? My university suggests this method instead of taking the mean percentage of my tests... What is my correct percentage?? Don't forget to give me a valid reason as to why u feel so too... Thanx a lot!!!!

I secured 8/10 in one test and 60/100 in another... What is aggregate percentage(not average) and why? Few of my friends say it's (80%+60%)/2=70%, while some deny it and say it is ( (8+60) / (10+100) ) * 100%... My university suggests the latter... Which of it is true & why?? Plz help ppl... Thanx!!!
