A little less than a month ago, my boyfriend of about two years and I broke up. He broke up with me because I will be attending college, and he finds himself unable to trust a long-distance college freshmen. We have talked some since the break up, but aren't very close anymore.. He received a major injury which ended his football career- something I know to be devastating to him. I have offered to be there for him, and he says he knows I am there for him, but he is not an especially expressive person and has not enlisted in me to help him.

He was in surgery for his knee today, and I would like to get him a little something - whether food or something practical to help him out. I do still care for him and it is very hard to think that he is struggling and I am unable to help.

What would he need? I'm not familiar with these surgeries!

for Christmas, i want to get a copy of something my friend wrote published, just one copy, and I've heard that there are publishing companies who, for a small fee, will publish you a copy of a book. any clues?
