  • Best beaches near Newquay?

My 10yo son and I are camping in Cornwall next month. We're staying at the coast, near to St. Austell.

We'd like to spend one of the days on the opposite coast, as it's only a 30 minute drive straight up.

However, I suspect that Newquay itself will be very busy... we'd like to find a beach that's fairly close to Newquay, but that's just a little bit quieter :-)

Does anyone have any recommendations please? TIA

  • Sewing help needed! Upper thread getting stuck in or around lower bobbin.?

I'm new to sewing and this is a brand new machine. The first couple of times I used it, everything was fine. But now, the upper thread keeps getting pulled into the bobbin case so that when I pull the material away, it looks as though there are 3 threads coming up from it. One is the lower thread and two are the upper thread in some kind of loop.

I've threaded and re-threaded it and re-loaded the bobbin countless times, and checked it's definitely loaded the correct way round!

I don't think it's the tension, as it was fine for the first couple of uses.

I get the feeling I must be doing something wrong, but I've no idea what.

Any help would be really appreciated. TIA
