  • Car dealer made first payment for me without my consent, now they say I owe it to them?

Due to a delay in financing, they said they went ahead and made the first payment for me. I never gave them the okay for this, but he said it needed to be done or else the loan wouldn't have went through. I have also made a payment to the finance company, just to make sure I was in the clear. Do I owe the car lot too? They are getting pretty demanding because I'm hesitating. It is a legit name brand dealer.

  • Bought electronic device in Europe, can't get it to charge here in the US?

I bought some hair clippers in Europe recently. I returned to the US, bought a simple adapter for the plug, and when I plug it into the outlet, it won't charge or power it up.

    Is this common?

  • Buying tickets for a Manchester United Match, is it possible to do outside the stadium, or online?

I'm going to be in Manchester, and I feel like while I'm there, if I didn't see a match I would be an idiot. I just looked on their website, and it appears the upcoming game when I will be there is sold out. Is it possible to get tickets from scalpers out front? Are there any good ticket exchange websites, or a local classified website I can buy some on? In the states I've used Stubhub and Craigslist, I would be looking for something similar.

I'm looking for a GSM smartphone, such as the Droid Incredible 2. I would like to keep it under $200, and of course no contract. What would you recommend, and where should I shop for one at? I am currently in Romania traveling, so it would have to be an online site that ships to Romania. Thanks

  • Parking a number while overseas, what is the cheapest way?

I leave in a few days for a 6-12 month adventure. I won't be using my phone while I'm gone, I plan on cancelling my account. However, I want to keep the number. What is the best or cheapest way to do this? If I get a prepaid cell phone for $20, can I port my # to it, and keep it for a year without using it?

  • I'm planning on travelling Europe and Asia for a year. What are some good online resources to find housing?

I'm going on a year long adventure to various destinations in Europe and Asia. I'm working on planning a few things now, and I am looking at possible housing options. I plan on staying at hostels part of the time, when I am just going to be spending a few days or so in a city. However, there are a couple cities where I would like to spend 2 months, so I was considering renting an apartment for those periods of time. I have Googled some resources, but I thought I would check to see if anyone has some experience with websites or resources that you have personally used.

    Thanks much!

  • I am looking for weight-cutting tips?

I know this isn't a recommended method for anyone. But I know it's done. I need to lose as much weight as possible in the next 3 days (I plan on gaining it all back afterwards). Just looking for tips from people who have accomplished big weight cuts in the past. Thanks!

  • I want to learn Java, what is a good online resource or computer software tutorial to use?

I want to learn Java programming language. I do not want to enroll in school. I am generally a fast learner and I am good at teaching myself. Does anyone have any recommendations for a book, tutorial, or website that can help get me going in the right direction. I just did a Google search, but there is so much out there I thought I would ask on here for advice first. Thank you!

  • PS3 price drop or console improvements anytime soon?

My Playstation 3 finally crapped out on me. I am reflowing the motherboard, but that's only a temporary fix. I plan on purchasing a new system soon. Right after my friend bought his, the following week the slims came out. So I just want to do some research and see if anything new is in the near future for the PS3 before I buy mine. Has anyone read or seen or know anything? Thanks!

  • Whey protein good or bad for weight loss?

So I am on a weight loss plan. I have made some huge lifestyle changes. I eat healthy and usually shoot for 30 min of cardio a day. I have lost 15lbs so far. I want to continue to lose weight. A friend recommended I take some whey protein powder. I purchased some (Optimum Nutrition). I have a shake for breakfast, and then another after my cardio workout in the evening. What are your thoughts. Will it help my weight loss, or is it going to have the opposite effect?

  • Going to Ireland, how much money should I bring?

I'm going to Ireland for 2 weeks. I have a good amount of money saved up, that should be more than enough, but I was curious how much people think I should bring. I'm a late 20's male, travelling alone, and plan on staying in hostels for the most part, and maybe a hotel for a few nights.

  • Laptop, Toshiba Satellite, Windows 7, network adapter keeps shutting down and coming back up?

I'll be browsing online, and then I will lose my network connection. After it drops, it'll come back on by itself a few minutes later. It seems to only do it after I've been on my comp for a bit, but then it will happen constantly, it's really annoying. It seems like maybe it could be due to heat? Cause it only happens after I've been using it for long periods of time, but I'm not sure.

  • Buying a condo on a wrap mortgage? Is there a catch? ?

I was looking at rentals, and an agent contacted me suggesting a wrap mortgage. I've been doing research on it, and I can't really find much about any negatives for the buyer, most of it seems as a burden on the person selling. Is there anything I should consider as a negative as far as a wrap mortgage goes?

  • What Movie... There is a scene where it shows a sunset at the ocean beach, and something is said like "This is?

"This is not the end. This is not the beginning, this is the end of the beginning..." or something like that, and this takes place right at the end of the movie, right before the credits start I think. I can't remember the exact quote, I just remember the scene and part of the quote. I saw the movie like 15+ years ago, and I always try to figure out what movie it is, but I have had no luck. Please help me solve this puzzle, I know somewhere out there knows exactly what I'm talking about...

  • Car rental in Ireland, and parking at hostels?

I'm going to Ireland soon for 2 weeks. I've never been before, but I'm super excited. I want to have a car so I can go explore the country during the day, and I would like to stay at hostels at night, depending where I end up. I plan on spending a lot of time in Dublin however. What is the parking situation around most hostels for a rental car, and is this something I should maybe avoid? It's going to be an awesome trip, but the parking situation is the only thing left I'm concerned about. Thank you
