Forces in Equilibrium (horizontal) on an incline?
So, I understand that there is a force acting on the plane, vertically down from the 8kg weight; which is 8g.
I also then know that the force acting perpendicular to the weight is 8gsin30 and the force acting against the friction is 8gcos30.
However, my paper says that Pcos30 = F + 8sin30...
I would understand if it said P = F + 8sin30, but where does the Pcos30 come from?

Option 2
Sales price- £90
Demand- 6000 units
Variable material cost- £20
Variable labour cost- £10
Fixed overheads per unit- £40
Total cost- £70
1. Calculate the profit if the price is set at £70 and the demand is 10,000 units but the factory can only produce 8000 units.
Please explain and show working, thanks.

1 AnswerMathematics5 years agoGeometric Series question...?
The sum of the first two terms is 34 and the sum to infinity is 162.
Find the common ratio and first term.
So, I know the formula for Sum of first N terms is: a(1-r^n)/ (1-r) and the formula for the sum to infinity is: a/1-r.
But I can't seem to work out the right answers.
Please show working and explain, thanks.
2 AnswersMathematics5 years agoSolve the differential equation: y/ [x(x+1)]?
So, I apparently you put the y on the other side and integrate separately: INT 1/y day = INT 1/[x(x+1)] dx ...
However, I want to know why we can't flip the other part: INT y dy = INT x(x+1) dx ???
2 AnswersMathematics5 years agoIntegrating mixed constants...?
For example. y/x(x+1) dx
This turns into 1/y dy = 1/x(x+1) dx
so we re basically putting the y on the other side (flipping the fraction).
However...
P(P-2) / 2 Cost2t dt turns into 2/P(P-2) dp = Cost 2t dt
