  • '66 Mustang Coupe oil pan (200ci inline six cylinder)?

My '66 Mustang coupe has an oil pan with a stripped out, over-sized drain plug. I have already bought a new pan for it. Do I need to lift the engine (200ci six cylinder) off its motor mounts in order to change out the oil pan?

  • 2001 Ford Ranger 4.0L SOHC engine problem? (mechanics only, please)?

My mother drives a 2001 Ford Ranger with a 4.0L SOHC V6. Whenever you step on the gas (while parked), then engine will rev to about 3,000 rpms and start to sputter like it has a governor or rev limiter installed. I have replaced the spark plugs, wires, air filter, fuel filter, and even cleaned to MAF sensor with MAF sensor cleaner. I checked the computer codes with an OBD-II scanner, and it came back with codes for lean on banks 1 & 2 and multiple cylinder misfires. Any ideas on what's wrong?

  • '90 Ford Mustang Heater Control ?

I am having problems with the heater fan controls and the turn signals. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. This problem effects both things at the same time. If the signals are working, the fan control works. If the fan controls don't work, neither do the turn signals. I've checked all the fuses, and none of them are bad. Any ideas? Thanks.

  • '02 Pontiac Grand Am (3.4L V6, Auto, 108,000 miles) whining from tranny?

I am hearing a high-pitched whining noise coming from what I think is the transmission. I just changed the filter and fluid (7qts as called for by the manual), but I am still getting the whining noise. I suspect the transmission because the pitch of the whine coincides with the speed of the tranny as it goes through the gears. Any ideas? Could it be the torque converter?
