  • What is the threshold wavelength for the photoelectric effect with potassium? Answer in units of nm?

    Please help and thanks

ok so here is what I have

When light of wavelength 288 nm is inci- dent on potassium, the emitted electrons have maximum kinetic energy of 2.41 eV.

What is the energy of an incident photon? The value of h c is 1240 eV · nm .

    Answer in units of eV

For this part I do 1240/288 and thats the answer then theres though next part that I have done too

What is the work function for potassium? Answer in units of eV. And I Have this part done too its (1240/288)-2.41

---though then I'm asked. What is the threshold wavelength for the pho- toelectric effect with potassium?---

this is the one I'm stuck on. I think it uses the formualua kmax=hf-hfo where hfo is work function though I don't really know. If you could help me solve this last part I would be grateful of your help. Thanks

    Answer in units of nm?

  • Hey can anyone help me on this, I make basically $800 a month after taxes, and I am in need of a student loan?

My parents basically are cutting me off after this summer, and online wells Fargo says I would have to have a verifiable income of at least $12,000 to be able to take out a student loan or would have to have a cosigner. My family won't cosign, so is there any place or any way I could get a student loan for this fall without a cosigner? I am going onto my third year of college. I am in immediate desperate need of help on this, please someone help me by having an answer to this question.
