  • 2008 Saturn Vue XE 2.4L fuel pump relay location?

    08 vue 100,000 miles on it. it was running fine one day started and shut off itself now no crank engine won t turn over gas gauge reads empty all fuses under hood and dash are good switched all relays around

    When I try to start it has single click.

    I was able to crank the engine from the starter relay it turns over but no start

    I noticed the fuel pump does not work

    I couldn t find any relay or fuel for the fuel pump

    Where is the fuel pump relay fuse or module located?

  • 08 Caravan transmission won t go in with flywheel?

    Hello, I have 08 caravan with 3.3L I replaced transmission after installing the new/used trans and tie up the bolts it puts to much pressure on the flywheel and flywheel won t move at all, it seems I m having trouble lining up the flywheel to the pate, there s 4 bolts flywheel to the plate I got them lined up but it still putting pressure, is there specific mark I have to fallow on the flywheel and plate?

    I found the answer for the other cars but not GP.

    mine is GP says GP on the body and printed on the seats. how many GP 40th anvirsuery were made?

  • fuse #47 keep blown, 99 Pontiac grand am?

    I have 99 grand am with 3400 engine, 150,000 miles, fuse 47 says ERLS. that powers few things keep getting blowed as soon as I turn the ignition on. the only time it doesn't blow if I disconnect the front o2 sensor. but the car wont shift good with o2 sensor unplugged. is it possible o2 sensor shorted out? I have a volimeter but not sure how to test o2. all other fuses are good. the car has an aftermarket alarm add on. where should I start to fix fuse 47? thanks

  • why would 2007 Saturn VUE clicks but won't turn over? battery was dead.?

    Hello, I just bought 07 Saturn vue with 89,000 miles for very cheap, the car has a little damage on the roof caused only the top air bag to go off. All other airbags are good. The car sat for a long time battery went dead, the car has original remote starter? Both remote or key when turned on you can only hear the starter clicks. Will not turn over at all. We used battery booster I know it has enough power to start it as I used it before and after I tried with the satrun. Engine is clean oil looks good, what are the reset steps for the thieft system. What sould I look for? I work on cars but this is the first Saturn I've ever got. Thanks

  • 2000 Cavelier 2200. do 1 & 4. 2&3 fire at the same time?

    I have 2000 Cavelier with 2200 engine.

    Car has issues missfiring when replacing the head gasket noticed piston 1 & 4 go up and down at the same time. Also 2 & 3 go up & down at the same time. So if 1 & 4 up then 2 & 3 down and so on. I thought every piston go up itself like piston 1 goes up then when its going down piston 4 goes up. I might be wrong I'm just thinking timing chaing might be messed up. Car is smoking and dripping gas out of the tail pipe. Replaced all injectors with rail n ragulator. Spark plugs, head gasket...ect but still running too rich. Its gas not moister I'm 100% sure. Thanks

  • What causes the engine to not burn gas and let it out of the exhaust? Cavalier 2200?

    2000 cavalier, 2200 engine, 200,000 miles. The car starts right up and idle but on 2 cylinders. #1 and 2 misfire OBD codes p0201 p0202, p0300. Injector circuit and multibule misfire.

    Lots of smoke out of the exhaust (white & blueish) smells too much gas, and also dripping gas out of the exhaust (not moister I'm 100% sure.

    Went ahead and replaced all injectors with the rail and regulator. No change still misfire on 1 & 2 cylinders, switched around the injectors and spark plugs 1&2 to 3&4 but still 1&2 misfier.

    All coils are firing good, changed the oil but no change.

    I pulled the cylinder head and looks all black and deposites on all valves and on the pistons. Nothing broke or bent, all look good to me no bent valves, seals look good,

    Head gasket look ok didn't see any thing will alarming.

    The car still aparts it wasn't bad at all pulling the parts off its easier then trying to figure out the issue.

    Am I missing something? I thought gas not blurring because of no spark or stick open injectores or bent valve!.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • 2000 Cavalier misfires and too much gas comming out of the exhust?

    2000 Cavalier with 2.2 liter 200,000 miles. Just bought the car the way it is. The girl I biught it from said it was driving fine till this happened. Missfire and too much gas dripping out of the exhust and light blue/white smoke smells 100% gas. Not moister. I toutch it smelled it its gas. OBD codes says injactoer 1 2 3 and 4. Checked the coil pack. Spark plugs and wires. And the injactores all seem to be good. What cuses the gas to come straight out of the exhust? The car starts and stays idling but rough it feels like its runing on 2 cylinders.

  • 01 ford Expedition heat problem. Replaced many parts no good heat?

    01 expedition 5.4 liter. 140,000 miles. I bought the car 2 weeks ago with no almost no heat! I noticed the AC is always running on heat or AC settings so I pulled the AC connector off.

    Took it to the shop they replaced fan clutch, thermostat and flushed the heater core. It helped a little not much when the truck is at normal temp 207 or so, the heat still little warm never getts hot like other cars.

    After I replaced the water pump and heater core hoses.

    And flushed the heater core for 3 days with all kind of cleaners.

    heat still the same lukewarm.

    Blend door actuator is good, took some plastic off we were able to see the door open and closes as it should.

    The heater core outlet hose not hot like the other hose I know this sound like heater core but when rais rpm both hoses get hot but still Lukewarm heat, flushed the the heater core both ways and water run from both side very normal.

    The mechanic and I out of ideas

    Any help will be greatly appreciated

  • 01 expedition fan clutch always on high speed?

    01 Ford expedition xlt 5.4 liter. 4x4. 140,000 miles.

    I'm having a problem with the heat. It's not as hot as it should it's just worm even when been driving for an hour.

    I noticed the fan is always on high speed when the car is cold or worm.

    So far we replaced the fan clutch

    Thermostat

    Flushed both heater cores

    Both heater core hoses are worm

    Nothing changed

    Temperature never passed 200 before and after changing the parts.

    the engine seems cooler then it should because of the fan is always on high speed. AC was always on but I unplugged the AC wires.

    No codes. Car runs good. No other issues. Only what is listed.

    I just want good heat what should I look for?

  • Fan clutch always stock on high speed 01 expedition?

    01 Ford Expedition 5.4 Liter. Xlt 4x4. (the problem I need to fix is the weak heat) The heat works but it is not that good. Temp does not go passed 200. Even if you let it run for an hour after driving. I noticed the AC kicks on & of when I'm only using the heat settings. I unplugged the AC connector. Fan still at full speed cold or wormed up.

    Replaced the fan clutch today

    Flushed both heater cores

    Flushed the coolant system

    New coolant

    New thermostat

    Checked all blend door actuators and they work as they should.

    The heat still the same just a little worm and not as good as normal car.

    The air blows great it's just not hot.

    The fuse box does not have relays or fuses for the fan I thing?

    Any help will be greatly appreciated I just need the heat to work good.

  • 02 Dodge caravan 3.3L misfires no codes, how to diagnose it?

    2002 Dodge caravan sport 3.3 liter, the car has 135,000 miles. Starts up ok and misfire not that bad but it's there it will misfire more at around 2000 rpm. Backfired ones but ran for 3 hours with out backfire. New spark plugs seems to be way tied up it took so much force to get them off they looked black/burnt from where they fire. All the same. Coil seem to fire good on all 6. No codes at all. No vacuum leak at all. Idle is in range at around 750. O2 sensors reading good on live data OBD II. Clean MAF no luck. To me it sounds to much gas not burnt proberley due to? But I could be wrong. Are the wires for the injectors go bad or very common issue on those vans? When i googled thats what i came up with. no issues other then this light misfire. What should I look for other then autos hops!. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  • Auto painters. What air comp and sprayer do I need to paint cars?

    I do light work on cars and I use to use spay paint in cans but now I want to get the air compressor to paint cars. How many gallons air compressor should be to run spryer gun with no trouble? Would 10 gallon 1.5HP do the job? Like I said this is at home working on cars no a shop. Also what good spryer gun to get? If there's good air comp model I should get and what to stay away from. Also I was watching on YouTube for cordless power paint spray like the impact tool I think to paint a hous walls...ect would this work. Say I paint half of 1 car every week thats what kind of work will be doing. Any info would help. Thanks

  • Grand am 3.4L idles 700rpm cold or worm. Shuts off on first start what could it be?

    99 grand am 3.4L 180,000 miles. The car is new to me. The car will take long time cranking befor starts then shuts off immediately (first time takes long time to start) unless I give it a little bit gas for few seconds then idles on its own. I noticed the rpm always around 700rpm cold or worm. No misfire no cods. Cleaned TBS & EGR although everything looks clean, I replaced the IAC just to make sure it's not the issue. The car seems fine nothing wrong with it other then always low rpm at cold start. I noticed the AC compresser was missing (bypassed with pulley). When I drive and stop the car will shut off. It starts right back up tho again have to keep my foot on the gas paddle for few seconds. What could it be? thanks

  • 98 dodge neon blue smoke only at start up why?

    Hello, I just bought 98 neon 2.0L 150,000 miles, the starts right up & runs great no misfire or any other issue other then blue smoke blows at start up and clears in about 5 to 10 seconds or so. The prevese owner saied it's been doing that for sometime. I used 20 50 oil nothing changed I added stop smoke additives nothing changed. The smoke is blue and you can see it clearly especially if the car sit overnight, when the car is wormed up I can't see any smoke. I don't think it's worn piston rings that's why I'm asking here, Would worn valve seals make the car smokes only at start up? What else should I look for? Is there an old school tricks to trace down the cause? I have OBD scanner that reads live data if there's something it can be used for! Please don't tell me to take it to the shop.   • 98 Neon. need help with AC clutch?

    98 Neon 2.0L 150,000 miles. The car has lud noise due to bad AC clutch. I looked at the clutch and found the O robber is gone between the 2 plates and the clutch is playing free. I took it off And tried to put piece of metal between the 2 plates (clutch) and didn't hold as good. When turned the AC On it started smoking in side and from the clutch where I put the pieces of metal. The small shaft that holds the clutch seems to turn and not stuck when the car is off. I don't have the $$ to buy AC. Is there any idea to fix the clutch? Something to holed the 2 plates together? The plates Im taking about are the very front . When you take off the bolt they come out as 1 piece. Thanks

  • Mercedes Ml320 Auxiliary Water Pump cause overheating if it's not working?

    it's 2000 with164000 miles on it. it's been overheating and no leaks I noticed the secondary water pump never kick in when the car is cold, worm or overheating. could this little pump cause overheating? I'm a way from home and short on cash is there ways to bypass it? and little more info might help on when this pump should kick in like when thermostat opens? thanks

    Hi, this car has 164000 miles, no error codes other then the low coolant light comes on but goes off after taping with water. no leaks but it seems the car loosing the water from overflow when gets hot. if I let it will reach 120c. bofinally fans work as they should. extreme pressure in the coolant system. the car will drive normal for about 15 miles when first started cold then ones overheats it keep up the high temperature and can't drive til completely cool off or will overheat quickly. thermostat completely removed and I'm using water. I know this is could be the issue but I'm thinking more like the water pump, I drove cars without thermostat and using water no overheating like this. I know temp will go lil higher then normal but not like this. is it common for these water.pump to go bad at 164000 miles? also the oil is clean no mix although I can see milkey mix on the cover cap and right under the cap but not inside deep in the engine I heard this could be from short trips. the car was parked for a year then never had more then 100 driving city only no free way. thank you all for any help/advice
