I really love the name for a boy, but so many people only think of girls when they hear it. I also have a female cousin named Jamie, but even growing up I always liked it better as a boy's name. What do you think?

For a boy. It's Greek and means "calm".

I like it a lot. It sounds manly, cool, and handsome to me. :)

I have heard people mention that a child with this name would be tortured because of the pronunciation. (Gay-len) Honestly though, I didn't even notice it until someone pointed it out to me.

And I've known a couple of people with the name that have never had any trouble with it.
