  • How much should I be saving?

If I make $225,000 a year, how much should I set aside for savings and for 401(k)? I have a C2C salary arrangement.

    Note that:

    - I am only 24 years old, so technically I am still covered under my parent's medical insurance for another two years. So I don't have to pay for insurance other than disability (worker's comp).

    - I have to set aside for taxes due to my C2C salary.

    - All my living expenses are reimbursed by the client. I do a lot of traveling: flying, driving a rental, living in hotels, but they all do not cost me a single cent.

    - I have a car that I bought with cash (so no monthly car payments). The only bill I get is for personal gas, car taxes, and insurance.

    - I am single and therefore do not have anyone to spend money for dates on.

How much would you be saving if you were in my situation? It is very tempting to start living a high roller life with my situation, but I really want to live comfortably but not extravagant. Also it is very possible to be a millionaire in several years if I save correctly. Wondering what you guys think is the best percentage to save/way to do this? Thanks in advance for any help.

  • Which car would you get and why?

I'm in the market for an executive sports coupe. It has to have the performance, gas mileage, style, practicality and be at a reasonable price. After much debate, I have narrowed it down to these four vehicles. If you were in my shoes, which car would you buy and why?

    2013 Infiniti G37 Coupe

    2013 Mercedes C250 Coupe

    2013 BMW 328i Coupe

    2013 Audi A5 Coupe

  • First Speeding Ticket Question?

I got a speeding ticket for supposedly doing 63 mph on a 45 mph zone in SC. When the officer handed me the ticket, he said that he reduced the citation down to a city speeding violation (?) which means that I would not get points on my license and I do not have to attend court for it if I pay a reduced fine of $110 (reduced from $185). This is my first official speeding ticket; I got pulled over once before, but got off with a warning. I am wondering if it would be best to plead guilty and pay the fine, or go to court and fight the ticket?
