im 14, an inexperienced photographer. I kind of have issues with photography.

Its really difficult for me. I see other people my age with even less experience in photography and they take pictures just fine. I mean, they aren't super nice or anything, but its so effortless for them, they just take pictures of whatever they want. I could look at the same thing, something with a million possibilites, but not see a single potential photo. And what i see in my head I can never capture with a camera.

I don't take photos often, like ever. I scarcely do. We had a party for my Mom's birthday and i did not take a single photo. My sister was lecturing me on how i'm supposed to take a picture of everything at every moment of the day. When i do feel inspired or see something really amazing that i'm positive would come out nicely in a camera, its when I'm told not to bring the camera. So i miss most of the good chances I get.

I try to go outside and take pictures, but its hard to work with the weather and there's nothing around my neighborhood i can take a photo of. If i did, I'd be a stalker.

My mother tells me to just go to some quiet place and the inspiration will come to me. But if i sit and wait in a quiet place, i get all hopeless.

Also, whenever i'm supposed to be taking a picture of something, I get the same problem. I just don't feel it

Why is it so hard for me take any photos? Why is it so difficult to be inspired? Does anyone else go through this?

so i just got this tumblr and i hate it (i love tumblr, i just hate mine)

its at rainydayreggae.tumblr.com and its called one glorious moment. It's not about anything, I just post the randomest things. The best tumblrs with the most followers have an actual topic.

I want to make my blog thingy retro vintage boho type stuff. I like this idea alot because i LOVE retro stuff and it's more broad, so I could post anything, just as long as its retro.

So I need ideas for

- some good vintage themes/layouts (what's better, themes or layouts?)

- URL/blog name (are they supposed to be the same or do they not have to be related at all?)

- posts

- how to get followers

It would be helpful if you posted multiple ideas and answer the questions for all of the above. I'm pretty new to tumblr. Thanks so much!

Bonus Question- does anyone else hate tumblr hipsters? they're such wannbes. I've noticed that they think plain white canvas shoes, lacey tops, nerd glasses and stacks of book and instagram for everything is so hipster, but seriously, everyone wears white canvas sneakers,lacey tops, nerd glasses and uses instagram.

ok so, it starts with dreams. I have found that there is a trend of darkness, houses, death, and struggling to stay alive as the center of all of them. I remember a ton of them, but i won't explain them because there's too many and they go over the limit. So i looked up the meanings on this site called dreammoods.com.

Darkness didn't have anything that applied to my dreams, so I looked up night, which is around usually whenever there is darkness involved.

Night- major setbacks, obstacles in achieving goals. I am faced with an unclear issue.

Houses- represents my soul and self. ex) attic represents intellect, basement represents subconcious. Dark, confined rooms signify that i feel trapped or repressed in a situation.

I can relate to this one because I just "found me" in a manner of speaking. Im still only 13 anyways

Me dying- inner changes, becoming spiritual/more enlightened, self-discovery

I can also relate to this one because i just lost a best friend for the 3rd time. We were so close, she was like a sister to me. She prefered popular people over me. bleh :(

I was murdered- some important or significant relationship in my life has been severed. I'm trying to disconnect others from my emotions.

I have seen faces in my dreams that i don't recognize and i eventually meet them later. this has happened twice

I've also dreamt about the dead 3x

I'm constantly remembering dreams that I've had before but didn't remember until now.

My dreams are so vivid, my mom thinks i lie about it and make it all up. I don't tell my friends because it freaks them out. I bottle up alot of my feelings because if i share them with others, I just end up with pity. I don't like pity.

To sum it all up, the thing that has come up most often is that I seal off my emotions from others because i have secrets, which I would rather tell than have someone find out.

The thing is, I don't have any secrets that would apply to this. They aren't significant anyways

I talk to myself alot. My uncle (or great-uncle. I dont know) had schizophrenia. He was on my dad's side of the family, and I get most of my traits from my Dad's side. I hear and see things other people don't. They aren't full out hallucinations, but random sounds i hear that make no sense at all. Like I'll be alone in bed at night, and I hear my name over and over again in these really odd hissy voices. They eventually start pissing me off, so I tell them to shut up, and they stop. Footsteps, also. I used to feel very strong presences in my house, so strong I could pinpoint where they were standing. I feel hands touching the end of my bed, but that stuff is over now because we had the house blessed. I still hear voices though. And sometimes I do things to myself that I hate, but sort of enjoy suffering, if that makes sense. For example, I sometimes do this hissing thing through my teeth and in my head I'm screaming make it stop! Make it stop! , but I just keep going. Im so wierd....

I'm a little scared. Can someone help me?

Maybe I'm sensitive to those psychic energies or whatever, I don't really know

I have this thing on my arms and legs. They're like pimples, but they don't pop/go away. On my legs, they're scarce, but are little red lumps. They kinda scab after a bit and come right off.

As for my arms, they don't come off. It's on my back too, and its this HUGE circle patch thing right over where my bra strap is and behind my belly button (theres 2).

Then, there's some on my shoulders too, but those are real pimples and come off just fine, except i can't reach -.-

I shave my legs and thighs. not my arms, because thats wierd. seriously, bald arms? just my opinion

BTW i can squeeze-pop pimples on my face, my skin's fine.

So, is it normal if skin gets really dry and starts to flake off in the south region? (referring to girl parts)

And there's sort of like a patch of where the skin came off

little worried. help please. Should i be worried? take it to a doctor?

I discovered street photography. Now i'm addicted.

I'm really inspired by Eric Kim Street Photography, his photos are beautiful and really capture urban settings in all its grit and realism.

I have a Canon EOS RebelG from like the 90's and it goes on film.

There's not much experimenting i can do with film cameras so I want a digital camera.

What kind of camera do i have? is it DSLR? what is that anyways

What type of camera should i get? I don't have alot of money, so don't make it to expensive. It also needs to be small, discreet , and quiet.

Ok, so last week (April 21, I think) I was outside at night and i looked up.

I saw the Little Dipper.

Well, I think it was the little one. I don't exactly know the relative size difference from the big and little one. But I'm pretty sure the big one takes up the entire sky, so I assumed it was the little one because this one wasn't very big.

It was upside down

And right under it, was the biggest, hugest, yellowest, weirdest thing i had ever seen

It was so huuuggeee. It was about thirty times the size of a regular star, considering they were pretty tiny. It was unlike anything I had ever ever seen before. Absolutely amazing.

i bought these super-cute retro sunglasses. SO CUTE. im so in love :P.

i was saying to my sister "i love these sunglasses. i really like retro-vintage stuff!"

then she says"oh god Jessi you're such a hipster"

Since i don't know what that is, I ask her, she tells me, now i know

I heard a hipster joke, and i could totally relate to it. I don't go with trends and i really really don't like mainstream music at all. AT ALL. it sucks. As i said, I love retro-vintage stuff, but i don't wear that kind of stuff because its usually expensive. Most of the stuff i wear is the kind of clothes that would be considered classic, as in plain jeans, solid colors, and stuff. Most of all, I dress like an ordinary person, minus the trendy stuff like feather earrings and yoga pants and color-blocking.

I don't care what people think of me, which is why i act the way i do. like a psycho. but my friends love me for it, so its all good.

Is being hipster a bad thing? Am i one?

i have a summer math packet that has distributive property factoring and i have absolutely no clue how to do this. one my questions is -5x-25 and i have to find the common factor from it. i also some with exponents but im not even gonna bother with that. thats how clueless i am
