Two questions...is the amount of ewcm important when charting and...?
Question #1: When charting CM, is the amount of EWCM important or simply the fact that it exists? For example, On Tuesday I had EWCM about 4 or 5 times throughout the day. Here it is Sunday at 9pm and I've wiped and had it for the first time today. I feel so confused!
Question #2: For a healthy, fertile couple, if you KNOW that you are having sex during the days before you ovulate and on ovulation day, how do you NOT get pregnant? I am just curious about this. I understand that some people have medical issues that prevent pregnancy, but what about normal, healthy, fertile couples? How does it not happen??
1 AnswerTrying to Conceive10 years agoCan you help me understand signs of ovulation?
Yes, it's another one of these questions! But, not matter how much I read I feel like nothing is "my" situation. Right now it is Tuesday evening. I was positive I would ovulate this coming Friday, so since DH and I couldn't baby dance yesterday or today, I wasn't too worried. Yesterday I started having fertile mucus, today the mucus seems plentiful. I also had ovary discomfort (I think) this morning on one side and this evening on the other side. Do you think I am still leading up to ovulation, meaning DH and I could baby dance the next three days, and still have a good chance of conceiving? I am so worried that we missed our chance today. Also, I won't see him til tomorrow evening.
This is hard on the heart and I understand how others TTC feel! Thank you for your help :)
1 AnswerTrying to Conceive10 years agoBra size...change cup or band width?
I have always worn a 34b, but now when I buy bras they aren't fitting well! If I feel like I have extra fat between my breast and armpit, do I increase the band or cup size?
3 AnswersOther - Beauty & Style1 decade agoIs sciatic nerve pain in the butt during pregnancy a sign of the sex of the baby?
I was told by a friend that women who experience sciatic nerve pain that is felt in the butt is typically a sign that the baby is a boy. Does this seem to be true or a wrong assumption? I haven't read anything that backs it up.
11 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoTexas law says a woman has has the right to breast feed in public, does that literally mean without cover?
Just curious if the law means you can breast feed in public with something covering your breast or if you can openly breast feed with everything exposed. I would never breast feed in public exposed, fyi, just wondering what the law means.
6 AnswersOther - Pregnancy & Parenting1 decade agoIs it normal to wonder how I will love my baby as much as I love my husband?
My husband and I are expecting our first child in April '10. We have an awesome, strong and loving relationship. I am in love with him and adore him more everyday. Somedays I worry that I won't want that spot in my life replaced by the baby. Of all the things that will change when the baby arrives, I am most concerned about replacing "the love of my life" with a new love. How do you keep your spouse number one and also your baby number one? I know they both have different needs. Right now I tell my husband, "I love you more than anything." But what happens when the baby arrives?
Thanks for your thoughts. I am going through major emotions right now.

9 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoOpinions on name list :)?
You can be honest, it won't hurt my feelings. I really do want to know what people would think upon being introduced to our baby. I am only listing girls names because a boy would be named after dad regardless.
Parker Abigail
Emerson Claire
Berkley Abigail
Dylan Abigail
Brooklyn Abigail or Sofia
Camryn Abigail
Thanks :)
19 AnswersBaby Names1 decade agoHow to introduce baby with nickname?
If we have a boy, we are naming him after my husband, which means my son would be the third in line. We are going to call him Trey, because there are already two men in the family with the name. That's just too much for me, and I am just trying to honor the tradition. So, every time we introduce our son to someone do I need to say his real name and then say, "But we're calling him Trey"? Or should I just say his name is Trey. I realize that is just a silly frivolous question, but would like opinions. Thank you :)
7 AnswersBaby Names1 decade agoWhite snake with brown diamonds in Texas, what is it?
I don't have the camera otherwise I would upload a pic. I have googled, but have had no luck. My husband killed a white snake with brown diamonds down it's back. It was about 5 feet long and at least 6" around in the middle of it's body. It is the largest snake I have ever seen outside of a zoo. Does anyone have any suggestions of what type it is?
9 AnswersReptiles1 decade agoCurtain rods that snap onto brackets screwed into wall?
I am trying to think of the name of those cheap curtain rods that are metal, curve at the ends towards the wall, and snap onto the brackets that you screw into the wall. They sell these at Wal-Mart, Target, Home Depot, etc. Can anyone help me? I am trying to see if extremely long ones exist, but I can't think of what they are called!
2 AnswersDecorating & Remodeling1 decade agoWhich type of skates did people wear to 70's roller discos?
I have found two types of skates calling themselves "vintage". One is the high top all white lace up skates for women. The other type includes some that look like Adidas and some that look like Pumas on wheels. I am going to a costume party and want to look as "authentic" as possible. Thanks!
6 AnswersOther - Entertainment1 decade agoHow did having a baby affect your marriage and body?
My husband and I have been married for 2 years, and we know we want kids at some point. I am 26, he is 27 and we both have careers. We are financially able to support a child, but my fears lie in other things. I love my relationship with my husband, and sometimes I am fearful that having a baby will have negative effects. I have seen it in friends and family. Did you have those fears and ultimately it was better than you expected?
Everyone talks about the effects of having a baby ravaging their bodies. So far, my friends and family have been lucky if that is the case. They are all smaller than before their kids. I have this fear that I will be the only one who ends up with a horrible body after baby!
Any thoughts?
4 AnswersOther - Pregnancy & Parenting1 decade agoAlthough I am older, I need advice on dealing with newly divorced parents...?
If you want to know why I would ask a personal question on here, its because you can't ask people close to you without getting a biased answer.
I am in my late 20's and two years ago my parents got a divorce. My dad was having an affair with a much younger woman, and my mom found out about two months into it. She told my dad she wanted to work it out, but my dad wouldn't stop the relationship with the other woman. They got married a year later. My mom is doing ok, but doesn't want my sis or I to be that close to my dad, and certainly not to meet his wife. Neither my sis or I have met his wife. I feel like I am betraying my mom if I do. I miss my dad, but I don't think it's fair to me to have to meet his wife in order to have a relationship with him. She was aware he was married when she met him.
I really don't know what my place is in all of this. I have taken it hard, and don't know how to feel. If you have been in a similar situation can you please give me some advice.
4 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoHow many hours do homebound teachers typically get?
I am thinking about switching from classroom teacher to homebound teaching. I currently work in San Antonio, Texas. I am considering applying with Northside who pays $35/hour and also with Northeast. My only concern is the unsteady paycheck. Does anyone know how many hours homebound teachers typically work?
1 AnswerTeaching1 decade agoBe honest, am I being completely silly?
My cycle was 6-11 days longer this month, then AF was irregular. I had more obvious PMS symptoms this month than ever, and now a day after AF is gone, I still feel bloated. I had my yearly at the gyno yesterday, but no bloodwork, just exam. I took a HPT that said negative. I still am not completely convinced I am not pregnant. (We aren't trying so I am not wishful thinking, but if I am pregnant its fine!) So, crazy or not?
7 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoAF was 6-11 days late, I started bleeding last night lighter than normal, could I be prego?
AF was due about 7 to 11 days ago. The week it was due I had either PMS or pregnancy symptoms such as fatigue, bloating, and odd bowels. Last night I had one drop of brown blood, then pinkish discharge about an hour later. About midnight I started light bleeding and I am still bleeding. I am normally between 28 and 33 days on my cycle, last night was going on 39 days. I am not stressed nor have I gained weight, and we aren't TTC. We wouldn't mind if we were prego though. Oh, since the bleeding started I have more bloating and sore boobs. I have taken a few hpt's and gotten negatives. Anyone experienced this and been pregnant or had another explanation?
4 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoI took 50mlU, then 25mlU, should I try another or assume it's something else?
I promise I read every single question before asking this so I wouldn't repeat the same questions as happens often on here. Anyhow, I am roughly a week late on my period. I took a 50mlU pregnancy test when I was 5 days late. I took it at night and it was negative. This morning I took a 25mlU test using first morning pee. It was also negative. I didn't even realize I was late on my period until I took the first test, and I am not TTC, although if I was pregnant I would be very happy. So I don't think stress is what is holding up my period. Should I take a more sensitive test tomorrow or are there any other conditions besides pregnancy I should be concerned about? I have a GYN appointment on Tuesday afternoon. I have always had a monthly period and my cycle ranges from 28-33 days. Today is already a 38 day cycle.
1 AnswerPregnancy1 decade agoWhat does RFR stand for in regards to real estate?
I was viewing house listings online. One house I was interested in said "Status: Active RFR". I know RFR generally means ready for reuse, but is that the same meaning when you are dealing with a home's status?
4 AnswersRenting & Real Estate1 decade agoWhy is there a flashing bell on my Palm Centro?
There is a flashing bell in the top left corner on my Palm Centro screen. I have been using the phone for 5 days and this is the first time it has appeared. I can't get it to go away. I have checked my e-mail, text messages, call log, and tasks. I have no idea why it is there and it is driving me crazy.
