  • Fair or Not? A drunk American marine stationed at Okinawa killed a 19 year old Japanese motorist - read on?

U.S. authorities had punished the employee of the Army and Air Force base, by suspending his driver's license for a five-year period.

Is this a fair punishment? If an American drinks, drives, and kills an American pedestrian in the US, do they simply get their drivers licence suspended?

Please tell me what you think: Fair or not fair?

  • Made in USA cheap and poisonous, despite all the rules, how is this possible?

Okay, first off, I'm not in the USA, so don't be telling me to get out and go home. Second, I ain't trolling.

I read an article today on Yahoo News about "McDonald's recalls 12 million 'Shrek'-themed glasses containing cadmium in paint job that are MADE in USA".

So my question is, a few years ago, China got hit hard when some of them toys had traces of lead in their paint and got blasted for it. I'm interested to see how the Americans themselves see this piece of news about toys made in the USA that are tainted with Cadmium (also poisonous to humans).

And yes, I do understand it's only trace amounts, but that is the same with the Chinese made toys a few years ago, they had trace amounts of lead, and not all toys had it.

Again, what do you think about USA made toys laced with poisonous paint? Is the World being too sensitive to things? Or....

So US YA people, care to share your thoughts?

  • When will USA stop killing the Earth?

So, the United States is the undisputed superpower of the World.

With all her technology and money, how come they aren't stopping the BP oil spill? Is it because they are trying to salvage the well for future use?

Selfish Americans, always saying China pollutes! When they are dumping millions of tonnes of OIL into the Ocean.

  • Everyone, do you think the USA spends too much on Military?

First, this is not a low-blow attempt. It is not anti-American b.s. Alternatively, if you don't like foreigners asking questions about USA, then just ignore my question and move on.

If the USA has such a big deficit, why do they still spend so much on Military? More than the top 10 runner ups combined. I am sure a lot of those military assets are wasted.

For example; why does one need 10 aircraft carriers when 3 will do? Why does one need 10000 battle tanks, when only 100 are actually used?

Obviously my examples are conjured up, but you get my point.

Is spending 2 or 3 times more then the top 3 runner up nations enough?

Constructive comments, questions, suggestions, all welcome. Just nothing racist please.

  • what has India learned from centuries of Colonialism?

They are always trying to employ "Divide and Conquer" on us.

That's what we've learned. And whenever they have something to say, we take it with a grain of salt.

  • What do Indians (from India) think about their 200 years of British occupation?

    Hi,

I would like to hear feedback/opinions/comments from Indians who know about India's history enough to give me some input about how British colonial imperialism affected India then and presently.

Also, how do you feel about what is happening in the Middle East? Will it spill over and affect more countries such as India? It's already affecting Pakistan.

    Thanks for your responses...it's appreciated.

  • China foils US attempt to dump toxic/used car tires in China. What's wrong with Americans?

I live in Taiwan, I'm very pleased to hear China catch these guys from the USA. Those tires do not decompose or breakdown even after 100 years left in the ground.

I just had to ask, do Americans ever think of the dirty things they do around the world or do they only like to point fingers?

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

GUANGZHOU: The Chinese customs authority said it had seized more than 8,500 tonnes of highly-polluting used tires smuggled from the United States, the biggest amount in recent years.

Smugglers pretended they were importing rubber and shipped the pollutants to the coastal city of South China's Guangzhou via Hong Kong between December 2008 and February 2009, the General Administration of Customs said Thursday.

The Huangpu Customs officials in Guangzhou found in late December 366 uncleared containers of the smuggled waste at the Dongjiangkou Port, which had lain there for almost a year, said Chen Wen, an inspection department official with the customs.

  • Canadians why do so many of you (not all) like talk bad about others but not yourselves?

Canadians seem to enjoy yelling and talking bad about China and USA (more China though). I find that annoying, very annoying. I'd like to find some answers.

They never talk about about their own country on Internet boards with such enthusiasm.

    - Alberta tar sands pollution

    - Torture of Afghan civilians

    - Mapleleaf meat that killed 21 Canadians

    - Canadian RCMP four of them, TASR to death an unarmed Polish man at Vancouver airport

    - RCMP drunk driver kills someone and gets a slap on the wrist

Why are you people like that?

I live in Taipei, Taiwan. Real answers from real Canadians who are not hateful will be appreciated.

Any Japanese reading my post, what are your constructive thoughts. Americans, please share, do American teens in USA do stunts like this to kill people?

    I am a Chinese in Taiwan...not trolling!

  • If depleted uranium shells are poisonous why does the US Military still use it in Iraq and Afghanistan?

Yes, I know the shells are powerful, but the residue is deadly. Not just to the marines who use it, but also the civilians!

Why is it still being used despite the bans, and inquiries?

  • Why doesn't America use full force in Afghanistan?

Why does America use kiddy gloves to fight Afghanistan or Iraq?

I'm wondering because, why is it taking so long, if America used full force, they can clear up Afghan and Iraq, in a very quick succession.

American military gurus, your advice or input is valued.
