I never block anyone unless i have a really good reason. i'm not here for the points (there are no prizes) so i try to put my questions to vote whenever i feel a vote would be relevant. I try my hardest to never ever say anything on this website that i wouldn't say to your face if you asked me a question. I understand that we all get a bit empowered by anonymity, me too, but i have no respect for people who call for war on a race, religion or country. I have no political or religious affiliation. I rotate my sources of news. I believe in freedom of speech, freedom of thought and believing what i can see. I don't buy into Ghosts, God, Bogeymen or Black Holes. I despise Prejudice, Xenophobia, Intolerance and Angry Mobs. Feel free to email me. I may ignore you. My appetite for debate is >9000 My name is Dan.
UK COPYRIGHT LAW: how may I use a 50 year old track?
I'm correct, I think, to assert that any musical recording or broadcast over fifty has flown it's UK copyright.
here's a song from 1960:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZ2zgcZgMqk
It's 'turn my back on you' by Billy Fury
How may I expolit this recording, now that it's copyright has expired? Only this particular recording, not the song itself. Can I sell copies of it? Can I broadcast it? Can I use it on a youtube video and not expect to have it pulled?
does anyone know how this part works?
1 AnswerOther - Entertainment1 decade agoMEDIATION: uk law. Does anyone know anything / have any experience of family law or division of assets?
I'm separated from my partner. We were never married but shared a mortgage. I haven't lived there for years but he continues to and has ruined my credit rating by defaulting.
My solicitor says i can't force a sale without going through mediation. Does anyone know how this works? how long it takes, what are the likely outcomes. All i want is to be off this rotten mortgage.
2 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agowhere can i read the 'international law'?
everyone's always quoting what is or isn't permitted under 'international law'
well, where is it written down, please?
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade ago"1 in 5 people are seriously considering voting BNP next election"- who invented this statistic?
my dear dear friends on yahoo answers- i'm sure you've had this statistic brandished in your face- and are equally incredulous, or not, if you are a fervent BNP supporter. SO.
my question is: who invented this preposterous statistic and on what research is it based.
http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Aj...
I am currently researching the answer to my own question at a furious pace, and will award the TEN GLORIOUS POINTS OF GLORY to whomever answers the question quoting the finest evidence of their answer.
that includes you racists.
So, i look forward to your answers- EVIDENCE and RESEARCH will be respected above all other factors, chiefly emotional twaddle.
10 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhat would you like to ask Nick Griffin, MEP?
http://uk.news.yahoo.com/21/20090927/tuk-bnp-leade...
It's official, they're going to turn a blind eye to his Neo-Nazi past and grant him a platform to spew his filthy hate.
Well, maybe it's a good thing and maybe it isn't- but since it's going ahead- f you could be in the question time audience, what QUESTION would you like to have discussed by a panel including Griffin and Jack Straw, and Jo Brand, probably?
And before you answer, racists, please can we keep our answers to this question in the form of QUESTIONS ONLY, that would be answerable not only by griffin but also other panellists.
okay- ten points for the most interesting question. off you go...

4 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoDear the BNP, how do you propose to control immigration?
let's not talk about the icky, uncomfortable repatriation part, but in the first case: do you propose to enforce stricter border control? how would you enforce it? what would the penalties for immigration to the UK be?
also: would it become illegal to emigrate?
3 AnswersPolitics1 decade agowhat do the BNP want?
After they burn all the books and the bridges,
When they've cleansed ethnicity from this fair isle.
When they've rewritten history to include only fictionalised accounts of white supremacy,
what next? what would the future hold under these maniacs?

8 AnswersImmigration1 decade agoDermo graphism. Does anyone know of any ill effects from taking anti-histamines for too long?
a friend is taking them for dermographism or 'skin-writing'. They've been on antihistamines for around five years. Has anyone any advice to offer?
1 AnswerSkin Conditions1 decade agowho cares what the Muslim council of Britain think?
nobody elected them, their sponsorship is highly questionable and they are certainly not a majority voice.
just putting "of Britain" in the title of your club doesn't automatically grant you authority, unless you're the Brit awards, obviously.
BNP take note, you are no more representative of Britain than the MCB just because you assume such authority.
seriously, other than the tabloid press who run to them for voxpops at any opportunity does ANYone care what they think? are there yahoo answers members who support this crackpot organisation?
4 AnswersCivic Participation1 decade agoVISAs are a complicated business it seems. is there a place where UK citizens can find all the information?
i want to go to canada, mexico, the USA and i'm not sure if it's even possible. is there any way of finding out just where one can go on a UK passport.?

i need to re-learn French and would like to experience Montreal,
do you think i am likely to make a living teaching English as a foreign language in Quebec? is it demanded much?
2 AnswersMontreal1 decade agohow do you measure a penis?
i read this question
http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=200...
and it made me wonder exactly how one ought to go about measuring a penis.
I think we can all agree that flaccid wouldn't be a good way to begin, and that these measurements are subject to change depending on circumstances, however...
since it's apparently a measurement that weighs heavily on the minds of many men at some point how ought one measure a penis?
top to bottom? bottom to top? oughtn't circumference be a factor in the measurement? side to side peprhaps?
is weight a factor? is it at all possible to weigh a penis that remains attached to it's owner?
perhaps volume? could one displace a certain amount of water from a conical flask and infer a measurement from that data?
when people say there's an average size- where on earth do they get such information? Reuters? is there something quoted in a medical journal somewhere?
are any of you doctors? would a doctor ever have occasion to measure a penis? how would they go about it?
I apologise to all whom this question has offended. I have tried to reign in my language to avoid unneccessary upset. but i feel this is a question worth addressing.
btw- and finally, please do not feel compelled to offer your own vital statistics in your answer. there are some who may wish to know but i do not and would prefer not to have the question pulled for inappropriate content.
16 AnswersMen's Health1 decade agoWhich is worse, denying global warming or denying the holocaust?
I know some people will have an extreme reaction to this so allow me to hastily rephrase my question for them. you. if you're perspiring.
The holocaust clearly can be proven to have caused the deaths of millions of people.
Global warming can clearly be proved to threaten the lives of millions of people.
So which is it worse to deny?
Ten p p p points for the best reasoning.
