    Aggravated DWI charges?

My Ex just got hit with Aggravated DWI in New York State, her first DWI, she blew a .24 and has no drivers license.  She was charged with Driving while intoxicated, operating a vehicle with a BAC of 0.08% or greater, aggravated DWI, failure to use headlights and operating a vehicle without a license.

What kind of fines, jail time, other punishment is she looking at?

  • What Food related TV show went into the making of each ingredient like how it was made?

Some episodes I remember were one about Beef Broccoli, where they detailed about how Oyster Sauce is made, another was how they leech fresh olives with Lye to I guess make Olive Oil, or some recipe with olives. Basically the show would focus on some food dish and then go into a sort of how it's made into each major ingredient. The show had a relatively young male host who would not just narrate but would go to the actual factories.

  • Help identify movie... Possibly futuristic, science fiction...?

Main character is a women who lives and possibly works in some kind of sterile clean, futuristic factory of some sorts, with other women (not sure if there are men or not), all dressed alike, possibly clones. She sleeps in some kind of cove in a wall, like everyone else.

One day she wanders into an area she shouldn't and is either fired or gets into trouble... She may be Asian, can't remember much else about the movie.

    Thanks :)

  • Why do some Buck Regulators have three switches?

I was looking at a GTX 570's VRM phases and noticed each phase uses THREE MOSFETs... I understand a basic Buck needs one MOSFET and a Freewheeling Diode, and I know the more efficient version uses synchronous rectification where you replace the free wheeling diode with another MOSFET but what is the third one doing in a three switch buck?

I can't seem to find any good schematics of one so I can SIM it or any info to read up on it at all, any ideas? Thanks.

  • Why are my Elberta peach tree flower buds dry and falling off every year?

My Eblerta Peach tree (in ground for three years now) refuses to flower every year, it produces tons of flower buds but when spring arrives they never swell larger than the leaf buds and they are dry and easily fall off...

Some branches even have leaves coming from where the flower buds should be!

    What is going on?

  • Strange PC stability issues, GA7VT600 1394, AMD XP3200+, 2GB DDR400 Kingston RAM?

System will boot up fine, log on without issue, can run most programs forever... However if I start Firefox for example and start browsing, at random, the system will do one of the following in order of most likely (It will happen right away or take 30+ min):

    1. Freeze up, display intact, no HDD activity, cursor doesn't move, power off button inoperative.

    2. Resets abruptly, no BSOD, no error in system logs, nothing.

    3. Screen goes blank and then vertical strip artifacts visible on screen, similar to weird DOS font characters, same as 1.

    4. Screen goes blank, same as 1.

The system is rock solid stable if the Motherboard FSB switch is set to 100Mhz (CPU at 1100Mhz), and swapping the 3200+ for a 2600+ (2086Mhz) is stable also.

Voltages are in spec, tested with software and Multimeter on PSU Molex and at the Motherboard.

Here is the long list of things I have tried:

    1. Recapped the ENTIRE motherboard.

    2. Replaced VRM Mosfets.

    3. Replaced ATX 20-pin Connector.

    4. Re-flowed DDR Sockets.

    5. Fresh install of XP.

    6. Complete boot disk check including surface scan.

    7. Reduced Memory to 333Mhz in BIOS instead of 400.

    8. Did Memtest86+ for 10 hours, NO ERRORS.

    9. Ran Prime95, Performance Test, CPU Burnin, no errors or lockups.

    10. Tried three different power supplies, 370W Generic, 550W Antec, 750W EVGA.

    11. Tried three different Graphics Cards, PCI VGA, GeForce 4 MX440, GeForce 6800.

    12. Bumped up DDR, CPU voltages.

    13. Disabled Spread Spectrum in BIOS and Failsafe defaults.

  • Why does the PS3 Youtube App not show all my playlist videos?

While in the PS3 Youtube app, certain videos will not show up in History, Playlists, or even searches, yet on my laptop they are there?

For example, Skrillex's Youtube page, the video First of the Year will not show up in any searches, and if I put it in a playlist or favorites, it still wont show up in the PS3 Youtube Application.

Also, some of my music playlists on youtube, like Deftones, will show a message "No videos are available".

Is there some kind of youtube censoring going on by sony, or some weird compatibility bug?

  • Cannot move Desktop Icons Win2k, Auto Arrange disabled?

I cannot move the desktop icons on a windows 2000 machine and "Auto Arrange" is disabled. When I click and drag an icon, as soon as I let go it will snap back to the old position (as if Auto Arrange was enabled). Also I cannot change the order of the icons in the quick launch toolbar either, I was able to do both recently also. The user name has full Administration rights and I'm at my wits ends on this one.

I tried a win2k and winXP "dragging and dropping" registry patch with reboot and no luck. Any help much appreciated.

  • Lost the ability to change quick launch icon order in Win2k?

For some reason, I can no longer change the icon order in my quick launch toolbar for Windows 2000. I drag an icon to where I want, and as soon as I let go it snaps back to where it was?!?!?

Note: This is NOT the problem where they lose the order on reboot, the problem is I cannot change the order AT ALL.

  • Laptop quickly overheats when held at 90' angle (sideways).?

I was using Google earth and showing someone the name of a street, but because it was sideways I tilted the laptop to the left held at a 90' angle, and as I was doing this the fan started reving real fast, and I peak over at the CPU Core temp in the system tray and it says 90C! then 100C then 101C and before I had a chance to do anything the laptop shutoff!

After starting it back up, my temps went normal to around 40C, so I decided to tilt the laptop again, and the temps start rocketing up! 48C, 61C, 88C, 93C! As soon as I return it to a level position, it starts going back down.

What the heck? The Laptop is a Compaq Presario F700, about a year old.

  • Is it normal for my iris to randomly change size/fluctuate?

When Iook in the mirror at my left and right iris it appear to change size at random and flictuate, and sometimes in bright light I can see the changes in brightness.

Is this normal or something to be concerned about? I also have blurring and double vision in both left and right eyes, mostly the right eye.

For example, when looking at an LED digital clock at night from 6+ feet away, if I close my left eye I see (in the right eye) many ghosts of the time, mostly to the right of the source and the brightest ghost appearing at 5'o clock. When closing the right eye and looking through the left eye I see the same thing except in reverse (directional wise) but not as pronounced as the right eye.

  • What causes a snapping clicking or popping sound in both of my ears when I compress my neck or tilt my head?

For about a year now when I compress my neck or bob my head up and down I get these strange clicking, snapping or popping sounds in either my right or left ear, usualy both but mostly not at exactly the same time.

I can almost feel them in my sinuses and when I plug my nose and swallow (to fill up my Eustachian tube) they still occur and are audible with a microphone placed in or near the ear.

The sounds are singular or occur in series, about 2 or sometimes 4 in a row almost fluid like sometimes causing a mild sharp pain in the sinus area around the nose.

Also not sure if this is related, but when I bend over with my head aimed at the ground, in my right ear I experince a crackling sound not unlike chopsticks being snapped. After a while of doing this they disapate but later return.
