I'm 18 and I'm looking into buying my first bike. I've never even ridden one but i ride 4 wheelers all the time. When I was little my dad had a 1980 FLT. Plus they also had the 2 cyl john deere tractors. Needless to say I love the sound. My friend just bought a new softail crossbones and he wants someone to ride w/so he said he'd loan me 4k to get a bike. I found a couple sportsters at a local bike shop in that price range. I'm not a big person ( 6' 135lbs) so there's absolutley no way i could handle anything bigger. One is a 1200 the other is an 883 bored out to a 1200. The guy i farm for has a harley too, so i'm dead set on a harley. Anyone info on what you think about what i should do would be awesome! thanks

My friend has an 08 honda civic hybrid that won't work in the cold. He said the gas engine is the only part that works. Its like 20 degrees F. He says that it'll work but as soon as he turns on the heater it's done and doesn't work. Is this common for them?

If you remove the muffler on the 6.9L IH does it sound good?

So i just filled up my truck: $123. thats only 26 gallons a $4.74!!!!! a gallon.

I know farmers don't pay road tax, but what do you pay per gallon? Will the price of diesel effect you in any way? If you're filling up a 1000 gallons at a time......what can you do? Will you run veggie oil?

Not exactly sure where to post this as there's not a tractor subject. But i have an old tractor in our garage. Go to tractorshed.com and search the pics for 1953 Case DC3 and its the only one. Derek. My dad or grandpa had it restored in the 80's and he said it quickly did the same thing again:major loss of power. He said it had something to do with the heads needing planed and running to hot. What would i need to do to make it run again? New set of gaskets? new head? ANyone know how much this stuff would cost?

I'm almost 17 and am looking for a newer car. My current one is an 85 f250 with the 6.9L diesel. I can't afford to pay $4.30 a gallon so I need a car that gets at least 25mpg (30+ would be nice). Somewhere in the $6-8k range. So anyone with info on a good gas mileage car would be helpful! Is there anything that gets that kinda mileage and has ne amount of power?

I was wondering if any of you knew what kind of mileage i could expect from 4.3L silverado 4x4. It has a manual transmission if that makes a difference. Are these engines reliable? My dad has a 99 with the 5.3L in it. 147k miles and only had to change the battery oil and tires. I get about 15 when i drive it. He gets closer to 17

Im lookin for a 99-03 f250 or 350. I can spend about 10k. is this reasonable to look for at that price? The only thing this truck has to be is a 4x4 w/under 150k miles. I would like to know mpgs & reliability of 5.4L v8 & 6.8L v10. My current truck is an 85 f250 w/the 6.9L diesel. Im only sellin it cuz its 2wd. Its got 95k miles & is a great truck otherwise. I would get a gm except i've heard about the 6.0L & bad mileage. Though if anyone has one could you tell me real mpg's for that engine? Im just want to know anything you can tell me about those trucks. THANX any info is apprecitated

Im in high school, end of my junior year and i have a job. Ready to get a 2nd vehicle now & can afford about a $10k truck. I need something that gets decent mileage (for a truck as in anythign better than 12-13mpgs would be ok) Right now i have an '85 f250 w/the 6.9L diesel. it has 95k miles on it. the main reason i want to trade it is to get a 4x4 & cuz its over 20 yrs old. i love the diesel but its just not worth it as i wont be hauling anything. Does anyone have suggestions? I am a ford guy, but would buy a chevy or gmc......its just i've heard their 6L gas is bad on mileage and that the ford v10 w/3.73 gears gets about what their v8 does w/4.10s. Can anyone recommend a truck? know what yr of a 3/4 ton truck i should be lookin at for that pirice?

It has 94k miles on it and I just got the glow plugs (harness, controller, and other stuff fixed and a new starter solenoid )(totalling $838.00) Before the solenoid went out I could start the truck in under 5 turns when it was 0 outside. The truck is now at my friends house and it wont start. It seems to have the same prob again w/the solenoid (and i havent had it back from the shop a month yet). I am wanting to upgrade to a newer truck somewhere around a 99-03 f250/350. My dad doesnt understand why i want another diesel. Does anyone know about that age and how reliable they are? 7.3L 6.0L

I've heard that the early 6.0L is problem prone and i def. cant afford nething newer than an '03. Can anyone help me with information on reliability of the truck?....and help me explain to my dad why i want another diesel.

I want to add clearance lights to my '85 f250. Where can i find them? Also where could I find a rear differential for it b/c it gets stuck way too easily in the yard. I noticed when watching tv the other day that broncos have c6 transmissions........would any f250's c6 tranny fit my diesel or would it have to have a diesel as well?

I have a 1985 F250 2x4 diesel auto, what must i do to convert it to a four-wheel drive?......i kno change the front axle and get a transfer case....but thats rlly all i kno

Do I need to get a new transmission or just make an alteration to the one it has?

Would it just be easiest to buy a junker 4x4 and steal the parts i need off of it?
