Teena Marie was one of the best female R&B singers of the 80s, and was the first white female R&B singer (that I can think of! LOL!). Which one of her many love ballads was your favorite? Mine's was Cassanova Brown. I used to love that song!

How come there's little love for 80s Hip Hop?? When someone comes up with a top 10 this or that, there's no mention of any albums or artists from 90 and back. I understand that the age demographic don't even remember the 80s, but isn't that like basketball not recognizing or giving props to what players accomplished before 1990 (or the Jordan era) because "we weren't born back then". And I'm not just talking about the regulars you see on MTV or VH1 (the Run DMCs or the NWAs). There were many other groups, rappers, songs and albums that very underrated and are actually far better than some of these mainstream rappers out today.
