i have a 1979 Chevy Scottsdale with a pontiac 350 and it ran fine and sat for 2 days then i went to start it up and it ran for 3 seconds then back fired and died and now wont start, i checked and its getting spark and fuel and i know its not the timing chain cuz i took off the valve covers and the rocker arms are turning and when you go to turn it over the engine it turns slow and then cranks fast meaning cranks slow then cranks fast dont know if this help but still getting normal smoke outof the exhaust i am trying to save it from a trip to the junkyard
