  • What are you are favorite dog breeds from each group?

    I thought this might be fun. If you had to pick a dog breed from each breed group what would they be? And why? But be warned, it is hard to pick just one(;

Here are mine (You can use the AKC groups or the UK KC, Iam going to use AKC) -

Sporting Group: Vizsla, it was really hard for me to decide between the Vizsla and The Wired Haired Pointing Griffon but I have to go with the Vizsla. Such a goofy, smart and beautiful breed. My neighbor had a older one several years ago & she was the best dog and every Vizsla I have met has always made me laugh they are just big goofballs wrapped into one active, intelligent and just plain stunning package.

Hound Group: Irish Wolfhound, I have been in love with this dog breed since I was a small child and saw a special on the breed on TV. They have that "scruffy" dog look that I adore, and an amazing mellow personality to go along with it and are just big giant sweethearts. I melt every time I see one.

Toy Group: Pug, without a doubt. This breed has always put a smile on my face & then one of my neighbors/good friends got a female pug puppy about a year ago (the same people who helped me fall in love with the Vizsla) & I have pet sat her many times & have become hooked on the pug. From the snorting, to the little pig tail I love just about everything about this little breed. The head tilting, all their quirks, pug kisses and even their bark!

Non-Sporting: Standard poodle, a few years ago I probably would have chosen the Bulldog but about a year or so ago I started to get to really know the breed and liked what I saw. I really just like everything about this breed, & I don't think people really give it a chance because they are so crazy smart, sweet, active and hard working. I also like that they are a water loving breed, something I always enjoy in a dog breed.

Working Group: Saint Bernard, I just can't get enough of these big teddy bears. I just feel so comfortable with big dogs (even though most "saints" probably out weigh me lol) and especially with Saint Bernards for some reason. I think it all started when I gave one a big hug as a kid & he gave me the sloppiest kiss in the world. There was no turning back after that....

Herding Group: Australian Shepherd, oh it was hard to choose between the Beauceron & the Aussie but this breed has been my second favorite (first is the westie) for the longest time. I love the drive, the intelligence, the look, and the energy of this breed. I have always wanted to do agility & disc dog and plan to in the future and would absolutely love to do both sports with an Aussie. Love love love love love this breed.

Terrier Group: West Highland White Terrier all the way baby! The first purebred I have ever own and god I just adore this breed. I like how the breed has the feistiness and energy of most terriers but are not crazy hyper which is perfect for my current lifestyle. They have great drive & focus and they learn so easily. They are also just sweet little love muffins and are happiest when they are with people which is a quality I really enjoy. I always thought a westie would be great for therapy work, and plan to do it with one of my future westies.

  • What are your favorite less common breeds of dogs?

There have bee a bunch of questions asking what your favorite dog breed(s) are and many times more popular, and common breeds are listed. So I was thinking what are your favorite less common breeds? Why?

    Mine are:

Beauceron- I have never met this breed face to face but fell in love with it years ago after seeing a thing about them on a dog show & thought loved how beautiful they are they have such amazing qualities. I really would love to own one some day, I think it would be a wonderful therapy dog.

Texas Blue Lacy- Several months ago I was looking through a dog website & come across this breed. I think it is stunning and such a smart and loyal breed and I think it would be a good agility dog possibly (not the best agility dog but I think the breed would really like it)

Petit Basset Griffon Vendéen-I love the scruffy terrier look, and I think hounds are amazing & the PBGV has both of these qualities! Plus it is a very smart and active dog.

Leonberger- Wonderful gentle giants. They ADORE people and other dogs and such amazing dogs. I think a Leonberger would also be a great therapy dog as well. I would love to own this breed sometime as well.

  • I touch not working...(really need help)?

Ok, I have had a I-touch since Christmas. When I charge it I usually use a wall charger. Well it has crashed a few times but I always reset it, leave it alone and then it is fine. Well yesterday I was playing Virtual Villagers on it when it was acting odd. I reset it then when I turned it back on the connect to Itunes picture showed up. Well I charged it and went to bed, and later today I plugged it into my desktop and started to sync it to Itunes but a thing popped up saying that I need to unlock my passcode to sync. Well I can't!! Because the sync to Itunes thing keeps showing up it will not let me unlock! I have reset it ten times today, I have tried everything!!!! Please, please help. I really need a answer quick.

    What should I do?

Thank so much from the bottom of my heart.
