I alrdy have my obsidians and I love m. Had m for almost a yr now. I can't complain about them at all. Get cray loud n low. But I have a buddy that wants to trade me his mint condition Rockford fosgate power hx2 15. I was just trying to get opinions on what you would do? Keep the obsidians or go with the power? I'm all about the lows btw. The box for the 15 will be 3.11cubes with 3 4" aeros tuned around 31tz. The obsidians are in about same box just 1cuft bigger. Appreciate the opinions

I just built a box(about 4.5cubes) for my 2 12" obsidian audio subs and was wondering if I should go with two 8.5" long 6" dia aeros or two 4" aeros( not certain of length yet either) they will be running off a US Amps Merlin md1d, 1200+rms at 1ohm(subs are rated 600rms a piece). Any help would be appreciated. And btw the tuning Im aiming for is as much spl with the lows still hitting deep and pure(low 30's?). Thanks ahead of tyme

i need a recone kit (or any methods anyone has to fix a sagging spyder) for a 15" rockford fosgate punch hx2, mine is the first model made i believe the year is 1999 not the newer old punch hx2s lol if that makes sense, not sure if it matters tho, either might fit i jus need to find a place i could get one from, thanks for help in advance

i need to know if there is a website or something i can make a design for a t-line subwoofer box? i know re audio has a calculator for a regular ported box and hoping there is something like that for a t-line design, please help, anything, thank you

i had a single 12 p3 dual 4ohm on a rockford prime 500.1, sub was wired at 2ohm gettin full power from amp and never had a problem or nothin well i jus bought another p3 but its a dual 2ohm and i have it wired to 4ohm inside my box and have my dual 4ohm wired to 2ohm and then subs are parallel to amp to make it a 3ohm load, well i thought,and now i have alot of distortion, amp is heating up pretti bad and fast and subs sound like they are fighting each other, can anyone help me? The box is homemade tuned to 34htz and a lil over 4cubes they do not have their own chamber, hope someone can help

i have a 12 thunder 9500 in a 2.5cuft box @ 34htz, its gettin about 1300rms@2ohm(i know its only rated 1000rms but if you ever had a 95 you know it handles more, my buddy has one gettin 1800rms and has had it over a year), but i want to know what i need to get to have pure power goin to my sub, i already have zero noise interconnects(rca's), what bout a processor or crossover? What else should i get help me please lol preferably soundstream too cause ive heard how good their processors, etc are, any input would help, thank you

i have a alpine mrp m1000 class d amplifier, it was pushing 2 12" alpine type rs @ 1000RMS@2ohms with no problem then jus stopped working, checked the fuses and 2 of them were blown and it looks the the metal prong things that holds the fuses in is fried, is this the problem? is it a easy or cheap fix? what do i do if so? when i unhooked it for a few days and tried hookin it up again it made a spark (when connecting the ground to amp after alrdy connectiong the power) like it was getting power but light wont come on or sound, please help, thanks in advance

power caps werent workin anymore so i jus got a backup battery for my stereo system, i was wunderin how i hook it up in my trunk? do i jus run a 4 or 0 gauge wire from my alternator to my battery n my trunk and then jus put the ground to my frame and run my amp off of it or wat do i need to do? i wuld appreciate it, thanks

i jus got a large system and my power cap isnt workin as well as it used to and i dont wanna spend stupid money on a kinetic or optimum battery for my setup so i have a extra car battery that is a interstate all white with the green top, can i jus put that in my trunk for my system? wuld it work? and how would i run it?

i have small 16 gauge speaker wiring and im tryin to run 1500RMS so i was gonna buy some 8 gauge speaker wire but i found about 16ft of 8 gauge power/ground wire from a old amp wiring kit never used, would this be ok to run from my amp to my subs as speaker wire? and also i have a monoblock amp but is has 2 negatives and 2 positives like a 2 channel amp ive heard its wired together inside and jus have 2 hookups for bigger speaker wire, i have 2 dvc 4ohm subs and they each are bridged to 2ohms can i hook each sub up to each channel and that will still b 1ohm?? thanks for the help

i have a class d mono amp, but its the type of mono that has 2 negatives and 2 positives like a 2 channel, can i run 2 different ohms? like wire my first set of subs @2 ohms or 1ohm and wire my other subs to the other hook up @4ohms? or does it all have to b the same? im wantin to run 4 subs to this amp 2 12's@2ohm and 2 12's @4ohm but dont kno if the amp can do that, TIA

imma about to upgrade my 3 wires and now know that i need a inline anl fuse, does the fuse have to b the same size as the fuse on my power wire to my amp? which is 200amp anl fuse, or does it have to match wat the alternator puts out? i believe mine is like 110 or 120amp alternator mayb a lil bigger, also my engine block ground, the original one is stripped so i cannot get the bolt off, what other bolts on the block can i use instead? jus one close to it that doesnt have any wires connected?? i appreciate the help in advanced thanks!

i have 2 12" kicker cvx's in a sealed box right now and im wantin to make box's for them, 2.0cubes tuned to 32hertz for each, ive heard tho that subs handle less power when ported is this true? cuz i have them gettin their 1500RMS(combined) they r rated so will they blow gettin that power if they are in ported?

a buddy told me the other day that if i replace my ground wire that comes from my actual car battery with a 4gauge wire and also add a 4 gauge wire coming from my alternator to my battery it would increase my volts to my amp and help stop my battery from ever dien is this true? i alrdy went ahead and replace my ground wire with 4gauge and imma bout to add the 4gauge from my alternator to my battery and jus wanna see if im doin this for nothin lol. ive heard from some that it cant handle 1ohm and ive heard from plenty of others that it can handle 1ohm and does pretti well, jus wanna get a few more opinions before i run it, should i b ok with runnin it @1ohm and what do you think it will produce(RMS watts) @1ohm? my cvx's are 1500RMS combined, TIA

i have a Massive 1500.1 and has the headphone type of connection for a bass knob and my buddy jus fried his Orion Cobalt 800.1 and he has the same kind of bass knob, we tried it on my amp and fit and works perfectly i can turn everything down or up with the knob but will it mess up my amp at all since its a Orion Cobalt bass knob and i have a Massive amp??

i have a amp im tryin to run @ .75ohms, the amp can handle it but ive heard i need really good wiring and power to b able to run that low, i heard of ppl running 2 4gauge power wires from the battery to their backup battery or capacitors along with a 2nd ground, will that help me out? or should i jus look for some 0 gauge? i have a massive p1500.1 and a jl 13w7, the sub goes at either 3 or .75ohm and at 3 ohms the amp only pushes 775RMS and would like to get more, the amp does 1500@1ohm and my sub is rated 1500RMS so if i take my sub to .75ohms and jus keep the amp turned down a lil will i b ok or should i jus look for a new amp if i want more power? TIA

i have a 13w7 now and i love it, good sq and is sooo loud with only half the rms it is rated, but i have a buddy with a 15" LVS with the double basket and everything and i couldnt find much on the specs for them, i heard they were only rated 800RMS but i seen ppl on youtube with kicker 1500.1 amps on jus 1 15 lvs, so im wunderin if anyone knows the specs for the 15 lvs and do you think i should trade?

i have a soundstorm sd315 lcd screen, dvd player and i put a bunch of music videos on my sd card and only half of them work, does anyone kno exactly wat kind of files i need to download or why isnt it workin? it will say unsupported format when trien to read them
