  • My boyfriend is shy and it bothers me. Advice?

My boyfriend is shy around people he doesn t know and gets high anxiety in big crowds. During a few family events, he barely spoke to anyone and acted like he didn t want to be there. It s a problem because I feel like I d just have more fun without him some places. He is very nice to me and treats me well, I just don t understand his shyness. Most times he drinks to feel comfortable. Advice?

  • Advice on asking for a raise?

So I haven't had a raise in 2.5 years(been at the company for 5). I have taken on a lot more responsibilites and I feel that I am a productive and good employee. I'm going to email my boss tomorrow and ask if he has any time to meet to discuss my pay rate. No, I am not going to negotiate over email. I want to meet with him in person. Basically, I am the only accounting person at my company of 100 people. We have recently hired about 25 people and that means more paychecks for me to process, more invoices to create to send to clients and the invoices I am creating are more complex now. I have been so bombarded the last few months. I'm just scared I'm going to get in his office and freeze up. I know all my valid points on why I deserve one, I just don't know how to start off once we meet. Advice on what to say when I go to him.

  • Advice about asking for a raise?

So I've been at my company for 5 years. Two years ago they gave me a raise and then fired my boss. I am the only one in my department and I am pretty well liked at my job (not to be cocky). Well the industry I'm in (oil and gas) wasn't doing so well last year so I was even lucky to have a job and didn't ask for a raise. Well now the industry is getting better and I am slammed with work. We've also hired 20 people in the last month. Should I email my boss and tell him I would like to discuss my pay rate? It's obvious I'm doing more work and working longer. My boss is also the owner and president of the company. Advice and tips please?!

  • Advice about long distance relationship?

So my boyfriend and I live less than two hours from each other. We haven't seen each other in two and a half weeks and the distance is weighing on me. We don't see each other during the week because he works really early in the morning and my work has been very busy so I'm pretty tired after. That pretty much leaves us with weekends. His Sunday's are basically off limits (his words not mine) because he watches the football games literally all day. Also he watches games on saturday's and there is one this Saturday. I basically told him that I was having doubts about the relationship and the distance is really starting to be rough. This weekend he said he has plans with his friend Friday, he would like to watch the Football game Saturday, and his Sunday's like I said are off limits. Am I overreacting? Advice!

  • I'm somewhat in a relationship but feel single?

So I've been dating this guy for four months. We refer to each other as boyfriend and girlfriend but we never actually had the talk. He lives an hour and a half away and I see him mostly ever other weekend. He sells quads as a second job and it's pretty much interfering with us hanging out. He's always late when we have plans and it ends up being quad related. I reminded him a few times about the labor day party that is going on all weekend and asked if he could go Friday or Saturday and he said well Saturday he was going to ride quads. We barely get to hang out and when we do, something quad related comes up. I feel pretty single because of it. I am so glad he has a hobby because then we would probably spend too much time together but it's just too much. I am bad at expressing myself. Advice?

  • How long did your side effects last on ortho tri cyclen lo or any birth control really?

Did your side effects last long with ortho tri cyclen lo? I have been taking it for a month and a half. The first month was great but the last few weeks I've had headaches, low energy, and anxiety. I just want to hear some success so I know these side effects will be worth it

  • How to ask a guy if we are exclusive?

So I have been seeing this guy all summer. He lives an hour and a half away so we only see each other on the weekends. I told him a few months ago that I wanted to take it slow and get to know him because I jumped into relationships in the past and they didn't work. We both kind of got out of relationships right before we met so we felt the same way about it. I want to ask him if we are exclusive. I have been wondering for a while because he did refer to me to someone as his girlfriend (when he bought my birthday present) and when I'm talking to other people I refer to him as my boyfriend. Having that talk now seems a bit awkward but obviously I should know.

  • Why do guys add random girls on Facebook?

So I've been talking to this guy for two months. We are on the path to being in a relationship. I keep seeing that he's adding random trashy girls. They are all mostly in his area and are skinny is superficial. Is there a reason guys do this? I'm not mad but just curious.

  • How would you react to this?

So I've known this guy for a month and a half and we've been on several dates. He's currently on vacation right now and his ex is the maid of honor in his sister's wedding. She broke up with him a few months ago and said she didn't need someone like him in her life. Well he told me he really wasn't looking forward to the whole thing and that it wasn't going to be any fun. So I really can't say anything because it is what it is. He texted tonight and said he was mini golfing with his sister, her fiancé, and his ex and that it was super awkward. How would you respond to that? I'm not like worried but I just didn't expect them to hang out and especially not on a double date.

  • Sex without birth control and only condom?

So I recently was on birth control for a few months but it made me anxious, caused weight gain, and I barely had any energy. I stopped taking it because I seriously was not myself and I was miserable! I started seeing a guy over a month ago and I really don't want to go back on birth control but the last I spoke to my doctor they said I could lower my dose. I haven't told the guy yet because we haven't reached the point of sex yet. Is a condom enough?

  • Advice on how to break it off with a guy?

So I talked to a guy for a couple weeks and I was so excited to meet him. I had been looking forward to the first date and so was he. On our first date, he was 2 hours late and was a bit tipsy. I obviously thought the first date was awful and I wasn't planning on seeing him again. He texted and asked if he was second date worthy. I just pretty much told him I didn't think he took it seriously and I didn't think he was what I was looking for. He told me he felt so bad and that wasn't him and that he was just really nervous. He said it would never happen again and he even sent me flowers. We went on a few more dates and they were much better but I still had the first date in the back of my mind. He smokes cigarettes which I hate and he also talked about how he drove drunk. I just have a bad gut feeling and don't want to continue it. How do I tell him without sounding mean?

  • Advice about dating?

So about 3 months ago I met a guy and I really liked him. He was everything I was looking for and I was so happy I found him. Well he has lived here for 3 years and his job laid him off so he is most likely moving back home. I kind of wanted to keep pursuing it and I also told him I was maybe going to pull back a little. We casually talked and then he admitted to me that after I said I was pulling back, he started talking to his ex again. We talked off and on but I was super bummed about it. I actually saw him and his ex at a store and cut contact. He messaged me after and went into explaination mode. I started going out with a new guy and we have been on 3 dates. I like him but I can't stop thinking about how I wish it would have worked with the other guy. Advice on this situation???
