Should I walk my child on country roads?
Ok this is going to be a long question. First of all I live 1/4 of a mile outside of the city limits. That 1/4 of a mile is a narrow two lane paved country road, with a speed limit of 45. After the 1/4 of a mile the road widens to still a two lane but also has about a 3 foot shoulder on each side and is 40 mph. I need to get out of the house and get more exercise, does anyone think this would be appropriate for me to push my child in a jogging stroller so we can go for a walk/run? The road is not busy in the morning and but gets busy during the day. I plan on putting an orange flag on the stroller and I always walk against traffic. I have gone into town to go for my walk/run but it takes so long to get everything ready it ends up being like a 3 hour trip. I really struggle with whether it is appropriate or not? I would like some opinions on this. Thanks!
2 AnswersDiet & Fitness10 years agoHELP my 18 mo. child is constipated?
My child is 18 months old, she has had constipation problems since she was about 11 months. The Dr had me give her Miralax which really helped, I have been taking her off the miralax slowly because I just don't think it is healthy to have to need medication to poop, and i don't want her to become dependent on it. So on Sat she was constipated and finally poop right before bed. Today is tuesday and she hasn't pooped since sat. I am still waiting for the dr to call me back. I fed her prunes on sat, sun and monday, gave her the miralax, she has been drinking a lot I even gave her a pedia lax suppository, which she had to use before, and still she cant poop. She loves fruit, she has been eating apple sauce, bananas, grapes she is not to fond of veg but she eats green beans. If is very frustrating because it really hurts her, she cries and if i comfort her she stops trying. So while i wait for the dr to call does anyone have any suggestions or had the same problems, what should i do???
9 AnswersToddler & Preschooler10 years agoWhat is wrong with my baby chicken?
I bought 3 chicks (buff orpingtons) about three weeks ago. They have been doing well and I have kept them away from my big chickens until they get older. Today I noticed the ones legs/feet have been getting darker, it also looks like the skin under the feathers is starting to darken also, they are starting to get their feathers in now. It's beak has a red spot in the corner and the skin is dark in that area also, my first thought was the other two were pecking on her but she is the biggest of them. She doesn't really seem to want to eat and she squeaks when she tries to eat the grass I gave them. I was thinking about taking her out for a few days but won't they gang up on her when I put her back in? Does anyone think she is dying or should I take her out? What should I do???
1 AnswerOther - Pets10 years agoWhen is the best time of day to exercise?
So I want to know when the best time of day to exercise is. I am a stay at home mom and I am not a morning person. I have equipment in my basement, but I find it hard to get up before my child does to exercise. During nap time I have a ton of stuff to do, the only time I have been exercising is around 8:30-9pm. I just wonder if exercising so late then going to bed is going to help me loose any weight? Any suggestions on the best time to exercise and possibly how to motivate myself to get my *** out of bed in the morning would be great!!! THANKS
2 AnswersDiet & Fitness10 years agoi can not get the stink out of my cloth diapers even with multiple rinses?
I just started cding, maybe 5 weeks ago. I have been having nothing but stink issues with them, I bought one size pocket diapers from ebay, (seller grapeapple, from china) I bought cheap because I lost my job 3 months ago and wanted to save money. I have bought multiple cd recommended detergents, washed and rinsed and rinsed and rinsed and rinsed, even stripped a few times with 1 tbsp dawn that took 8 or more (I lost count) rinses to get no bubbles and I have hard water. I am so FRUSTRATED I feel like I am wasting more money than disposables would cost. I just don't get what I am doing wrong, and I am scared to try anything else because it could make it worse. Oh and the recommended wash temp is 86 degrees so I can't use hot water. I have read a lot online about stink issues and tried some. Has anyone had this many problems with getting their diapers to smell clean? Please Help any suggestions would be nice. Thank You
