  • Resonable Amount of Debt For Undergraduate Degree?

I am looking at my financial aid package for an in-state school and it is about $22,000 for the year. I have not borrowed any money so far because I went to a community college for two years and it was cheap. What is the average amount of debt that an undergraduate should be in when they graduate. Please help, I am afraid that I will graduate and not be able or willing to pay this money back with a small starting salary/wage. Maybe I should get a campus job. I am a social science major. I just want to be somewhat stable when i graduate so I can possibly move around.

  • Am I being unreasonable about college?

I attend a community college and I am going to be finishing up my Associates Degree in December. Anyways, I would like to transfer and have been accepted to a very well know public university that is in-state about 5 hours away from home. However, my parents act like I putting them in so much debt because I need help paying for living expenses. There is another in-state university about 30 minutes from my house but I don't like it as much and it is a commuter college in every aspect. How do other people deal with their college issues and finances? I have 60 transfer credits so I should be graduating in like 2-2.5 years. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • I would like to work at a college, what should I do?

I am currently in college, and can not see myself working anywhere else. I enjoy talking to all the different people I meet on a daily basis and just exploring my surroundings. What types of careers are available in a college setting other than a professor; possibly an advisor or student housing specialist or something similar. Furthermore, what type of education do I need to gain this type of position? Any help would be great!

  • How much are my Micheal Jackson memorial tickets worth?

I just checked my email and I got these vouchers for Micheal Jackson tickets. I just can't believe it. Anyways, I live on the other side of the country and there is no way I can get to L.A. before 6:00PM tomorrow to claim my voucher so maybe I should just sale it. What should I do? Ebay keeps closing the auctions but I saw one go up to 4,000 dollars. I need that money LOL!

  • Courseload Question at University?

Next year I will be leaving the community college to attend a four year university. I am trying to figure out how many courses I should take. I will not be working at all so I am thinking about taking 5 classes. It would be approximately 15-16 credits. Is this too many or will I be fine. I would also like to have a social life on campus but I care about my school work and don't mine staying in the library for long periods of time. Also, I am majoring in a social science so my classes don't require science or math for the most part. Just reading, papers, projects, and tests.

  • Should I Transfer, I'm so confused?

I have been working on an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts (4 year transfer) since 2007. I got accepted to the University of Minnesota yesterday as a transfer student for fall 2009 but, I am only 2-3 classes away from an Associates Degree and can finish up my general education requirements for the University of Minnesota while completing the degree. What should I do? I'm so confused? Should I hold another semester and finish or just go.

  • Can I Become a Real Estate Agent Part-Time?

I would like to sell houses while I attend college. My friends tell me that I have a lot of knowledge about the local real estate market, neighborhoods and prices and I should put that knowledge to good use. Also, I love helping people and believe that this would give me an opportunity to do something that I truly enjoy. I would love to make a career out of this field but, it seems more like a hustle than a full time job. Is this obtainable, any help would be greatly appreciated. All that I need to make is like 20-25K while I live at my parent’s house and go to school. Lastly, I live in a really affordable market where buying a house or condo is within reach to people of modest incomes. (Homes Under $100,000)

  • What is a bachelor's degree worth, as far as student loan debt?

I know people who went to private colleges or went out of state to college and now they have close to $70,000-$90,000 in student loan debt. Is a bachelor’s degree really worth that much? I am trying to get though college the most affordable way I can and they call me cheap. What is the average student loan debt out here these days and is it really necessary?

  • Question About Amazon.com?

I sold a textbook on Amazon.com and the person who bought the book happens to live right around the corner from me. Is it ok if I just drop the package in her mailbox or do I still need to go to the post office and ship the package? The person did not buy insurance on the package or anything, just standard shipping.

  • Is a sony vaio laptop better than a gateway?

I went to best buy yesterday to look at some laptops and the tech guy told me to buy the sony over the gateway even though the gateway had a bigger hard drive and a smaller screen. He said that sony products were higher end and rarely go on sale. I paid $499.00. Does anyone else know about the quality of these two laptops?

  • When I graduate college and go to work, will there still be young people?

I am afraid that when I graduate from college my social life among my peers will dry up very quickly. At a university, I meet people so fast because we are all about the same age and are all students. We share a common bond. Out in the workforce, people will probably be older and grumpy. Did anyone else have this problem.

  • Does Sarah Palin seem like sombody you could meet in a bar and just have so much fun with?

Even though I don't agree with her politically. I could probably go to a bar get drunk and have so much fun with her. She's likable because she's goofy and looks like some average person off the street who just happens to be a governor very down to earth.

  • Majoring in Housing Studies, am I making a mistake?

Right now I am seriously considering a major in Housing Studies at the University of Minnesota. I believe I will really enjoy this major. However, the housing market is really bad right now and I do not want to be unemployed and desperate right out of college. I am very skeptical about majoring in something so specific but, I believe this major is better than a Real Estate major which was my next choice because the Housing Studies major has a social science core which I like. I wanted a major that was a mix between business, and a social science type field. What is really nagging me though is what I’m going to do when I graduate, it is hard to accumulate school debt not knowing where the money will come from to pay off the loans in the future. Also, I do not want to be tied to a specific line of work. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
