  • Question for pharmacists or pharmacy techs?

    When I get my birth control pills filled at the pharmacy, they always tell me it will take about 10-20 minutes. I have always wondered something: do the pills already come pre-packaged in the little foil punch-out pack? If so, then don't they just have to put them in a bag and charge me?

    Is the 10-20 minutes just so they can finish up whatever they were working on, or what?
