Im looking for a HALF updo. But i DONT want to straighten my hair.

Im in college and am excited about getting a betta. ive done tons of research. and im all set. i only have a question about cycling.

i AM going to cycle, dont worry about that. i was just wondering...

Is there a cheaper way to fishless cycle, then buying all the test kits and strips. i only have a limited amount of money i can spend and i dont wanna spend 50 dollars on just the cycling.

Can i just add betta fish food to the water every 12 hours? and wait a month, then check all the levels?? will that work?

Please help, give tips. i would appreciate it! thanks!

I need to cycle my 5 gallon tank. i just bought it so its new. i know how to do a fishless cycle, but i need to add an airstone. Are there any airstones i can use that dont need airline tubing? i dont want to have to buy a pump, airline tubing and airstone, if i only need it for the cycle process.

I am planning on buying a betta fish. I bought the Eclipse Hex 5 gallon tank. i wanna know

1. is this an ok tank for my betta? if not, can u recommend another 5 gallon tank?

2. How should i go about adding him?

i havent bought him yet, because i'm not sure if i need to cycle the tank. if i should just add water with conditioner and let it run for a couple weeks. what? or would it be better to add him anytime??

I am planning on buying a betta fish very soon, but i wanted to do tons of research so i can give him the best life possible. I was wondering which tank size is best? 2.5 or 5 Gallons? [[neither have a filter]]

I dont want anything more than 5 gallons since I will be bringing him with me to college.

Because i dont have a filter how much should i change the water, and how often per week?

Also which plants do you think my betta will enjoy the most?
