Maryland lawmakers in 2012 passed a bill to levy a fine on anything that prevented rain water from reaching the earth (i.e. roofs, patios, etc.), meaning many state residents had no choice but to literally pay a tax on rain.
“Some of the counties have received threatening letters and fines of up to $32,000 a day. So I want to kind of put a stop to that until we get a chance to see what [the Maryland Department of Environment] expects from each county,” bill co-sponsor state Sen. Barry Glassman (R) said.

Libertarians are the ultimate people to NOT believe in, or pursue paradise. Libertarians accept life as it is and accept that some things cannot be perfect. Some of Libertarianism is rooted in Darwinism and the idea that our eternal imperfections may even be necessary to make us better.
The only party that really believes in paradise that I know of is close to the opposite of Libertarianism. That would be Communism. This system of government and its implications that it will bring paradise to humankind is often illustrated in popular literature, philosophy and music. Like John Lennon's "Imagine". Libertarians have NEVER claimed to be able to achieve political paradise by leaving people alone.

Knowledge is all around us. Books, internet, educational systems and such. Only a small fraction of the population ever makes Mensa or even tries to raise their intelligence. The estimated average IQ of the US is 98, (Canada 97). Our education (actual knowledge levels) are low compared to even average countries.

Doesn't the fact that so many people choose not to be intelligent prove that being intelligent is not the best way to live? Doesn't this prove that people in the higher 1-2% brackets have it all wrong since they cannot get us to be like them?

A vote for a Libertarian will not change the election any more or less than a vote for a Demopublican. Your vote is a single vote.
"I don't vote Libertarian because they won't win". Ask yourself, "will your one vote make it or break it for a Republican?" The obvious answer is NO!!!
So why do you allow yourself to be conned by Republicans (or Democrats)? Why do you fall for the double standard? Do not allow yourself to be treated like a sheep when it is convenient to their argument then treated as an individual when it is convenient to their argument. Demand consistent reasoning and logic that works in the real world.

I heard they pump out "Oops I did it Again" and "Baby one More Time" at very high volumes. I am told the Pirates can't stand western music and they go away.
The officers are said to be considering Justin Beiber music but feel it may be against the Geneva Convention.

I don't think you can take care of yourself without my help. Even though you are content the way you are, I feel I have the right to change your life. If you do not cooperate, I will use force-even guns if necessary to make you do what I deem is in your self interest because I have declared myself morally superior to you.
You need to whip out your 14 carrot vocabulary and make this into at least two large paragraphs. Do not use plain language. And be sure to insinuate that anyone that does not agree with you is stupid.

How much worse can it get if most of our stuff is already made overseas? Most jobs left here are jobs that must be here, for instance you cannot go overseas for a quick visit to a doctor or to get your plumbing fixed.

When are the average voters going to have a candidate that actually represents them? There has not even been one since Reagan. They rely on electoral college swinging votes their way and hope the other side loses worse than they do.

The country that is safest from attack from rogue countries is the one that has the best military. The citizens that are safest from attack are the ones with guns. Why would anyone think that weakening peaceful people makes them safer?
