Java crashing computer (100% freeze)!?
As I have run things on this computer, nothing really crashed or caused an error... until I met Java. I have played some Java games, and in certain ones, my computer crashed at a completely random time. There is absolutely NO pattern for when this happens. Sometimes it happens once every multiple hours, while on the other hand, it can happen up to EVERY FIVE MINUTES.
This error only happens when I have Java running, and not with all applications at that. This error happens way too often with Runescape and any of the Runescape Private Servers, however, this does not happen at all with Minecraft, even though they're both Java-based.
I have tried re-installing Java completely, as well as updating it, but this error still happens. It is VERY annoying, since I cannot perform any actions. Nothing on my keyboard works, and my mouse is frozen too. The sound can sometimes still be running, but that doesn't change anything, as I have to manually power down my computer by holding down the button. It has been happening every 10 minutes, but that includes the 5 minutes it takes to fully restart my computer and all of the applications that were running. In that case, it has been happening every five minutes for the past while, and I am COMPLETELY tired of it.
I tried asking on other forums, but no one helped me well. My computer does not 'lagg' at all before this error, so there is no sign of it coming up. Speaking of which, here is what my computer has:
RAM: 4GB
Hard Disk: 750GB/932GB
Processor: Intel Core2Duo (E8500) 3.16GHz
Display Adapter Type: ATI Radeon HD 5570
Resolution: 1440x900
System Type: 32-Bit, Windows Vista
This computer is supposedly a 'gaming' computer (and it has seemed as such), however, these crashes are HIGHLY in my way. I would really appreciate some help! This post will not be marked as 'resolved' until actually resolved, so don't be afraid to comment! :)
