I have a year and a half chihuahua and she gets SO annoying when my mom leaves. She yelps, whimpers, acts super hyper and crazy, tries to pull at her leash, gets loose hair everywhere, and does just about everything just to get at my mom. It gets really embarrassing when everyone looks! I know she likes my mom a lot but it is that normal? Anyone have any similar cases of separation anxiety? I know some of you are going to tell me to get a dog trainer but she isn't really keen to the idea of having other people around her. She isn't really the friendliest dog....she is behaved and won't bite but she just doesn't like other people but my parents, brother and me. We've tried a lot of stuff like trying to get her to calm down, giving her treats, playing and walking her often to get some of her energy out. If it means anything, my mom walks her often but I also contribute to her care almost as much as my mom. Is this really a case of separation anxiety or something else?

Please help! I have a 1 year old deerhead chihuahua and she is building up a little plaque on her back teeth. She is a big scaredy cat, and no, we did not get her from a puppy mill. How do I safely brush her teeth, knowing that she will probably yelp and run away? Any advice or similar situations?

Please help! My 1 year old deerhead chihuahua is very afraid of other people (and dogs sometimes) other then my parents, brother, and me. It seems that my dog is not aggressive but because she is small, everything is big and scary to her. She growls and barks when people come near and barks when she hears a suspicious sound! It is very annoying at times but my whole family loves her and wants to cure her fear aggression. Do you guys have any advice on how to help my dog? Thanks, I really appreciate it!
