I'm going to japan in the Easter Holiday-Early April for 2 weeks with a family

I am staying tokyo for a week and travelling to Yokohama by Bullet train

Then I am taking the bullet train to Osaka and wish to go to Kyoto

Do you think I should get seperate hotels for Osaka and Kyoto or should I just stay in one hotel while going back and forth to the other (i want to stay 2 days in each)

Also..

Should I even go to Osaka? Or should i go to Kyoto

I am a mother of a 12-year old child who is small for his age and is of a chinese decent. He goes to a secondary school and gets a lot of small racist comments by other pupils nearly every day. There are some other chinese people in school which probably gets picked on as well but their older. All his brothers has ignored this but my 12 year old son gets angry at it also he still has 4 more years of this. Comments could include joking of stereotypical comments made on chines, joking on other chinese being the same or brothers (Older brothers left school),name calling and small physical contact like poking. He and many chinese people have suffered this in his school(probably) including his brothers.

We don't want to tell the teacher because my son says he dosn't want to get involved with the telling off and is quite embarassed-he is very good at ignoring this but lets it out at home also i have seen a change in his self-confidence when he moved to this secondary school which he moved.

What could me or him do if possible not telling teachers(teachers have mistakin him for other chinese as well)
